Grand Theft Auto VI

To be fair, that is true…
But, we also have to keep in mind that video games = fantasy = not real; also, the producers/creators/idk what to call them only wanted to have good sales and because the vast majority of players were/are males, well, they wanted that element in their products, to give us sexy fantasy/not real women…
It’s a product of entertainment and buyers/consumers usually have a great influence…
Now, I’m Not suggesting it’s right, but idk if it’s wrong either, I mean, we have to remember that it’s fiction after all…
Still, I welcome Good Female Characters, who have a good story (Lara Croft, BloodRayne, Elizabeth - Bioshock, Princess Zelda; I have only played with Lara Croft and BloodRayne out of these characters, I just wanted to give some examples)…

I think that western politics are trying a new imperialist game - it is called Feminism and Everyone must obey…
But, we are not all fools, we want our products free from politics.

Morality is a problem, which is something that feminism tries to create and it’s counter-productive to its goals.

But the main issue is real, we are political creatures, which means that if I consume, let’s say, sadistic porn in which males abuse women, I’ll probably relate to female in a similar fashion outside of watching porn.

That’s why porn is so problematic, because it educated a whole generation of people around sex and how they relate to each other.

So, these kind of problems are not only reduced to the privacy of our own world, but also shared in every interaction we have with others.

No, I disagree…
Many women want to escape boring/everyday life by engaging in BDSM (real or imagined/fiction), I mean why else would they love 50 Shades of Crap, let’s be honest…

That does not mean that these women want to be dominated by everyone, all the time (or to dominate everyone), it’s just a fantasy…
Yet, I agree that porn can be problematic, it has it’s issues and I’m sorry but there are many threads about sexuality and porn and whatever, so, please, let’s not make this another one…

My one and only reply on this issue(s) (I’ll gladly talk about GTA) = Let everyone live his/her life according to his/her will, likes and dislikes…

Hmm, it seems I can’t escape the Men vs Women debates anywhere these days. Now they’re even seeping into my everyday life outside the internet lol. It’s all so silly.

I am sorry, @SammyG
I slipped one or two words and we are back to debates… Sigh…

It is silly…

That’s true, we all have our things, if we had been bullied in school then we may develop a sexual fetish around being abused or abusing others.

People enjoy their own suffering and that’s part of their choice, but it is still an unconscious part of them that was created by traumatic events that weren’t processed entirely at that time, and that’s where the “pleasure in pain” comes in, to fill that gap (or make it bigger than it already is).

Although I think it would be better if we all face our inner contradictions and become more conscious as a whole, but that’s just my posture.

Speaking of GTA 6 though, I am very excited for it but we probably won’t see it for another few years. Although I found it annoying that Rockstar solely focused on GTA online for years and milking customers with the online… they did release Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018 which I believe was a masterpiece. Definitely in my top 5 games of all time so I have full trust that they will release another amazing game. Nobody in the industry does open worlds better than Rockstar.

I agree 100%, it’s not even a contest. :grinning:

It’s fine. You are entitled to speak your mind and dive into whatever topics you’d like so as long as they aren’t disrespectful. I’m not here to police you.

I just keep hearing the women vs men debate these days everywhere. My personal group chats even has it these days. It’s rather tiring because everyone keeps repeating the same points but offer no viable and fair solutions. Just a lot of whining about how it’s unfair (not what you guys were talking about at all).

But anyways, this is a GTA 6 thread lol. I don’t know how we got here. So let’s carry on.

I’m excited for God of War.

I may be waaay in the minority, but I have not played any God of War game yet…
Actually I tried once, I think (not sure) that it was on PSP, a friend of mine was playing it all day…
Although I’m a gamer, I’m mostly a casual one, I have not played (that) many games, especially in the last few years.
Now, after I’ll upgrade my PC, that will probably change.

I didn’t play the old ones either. I did play the one for PS4 and was engrossed into the story. I love a well told story in video games as it is a very rare thing to accomplish. Most end up being rather cheesy but God of War 2018 knocked it out the park. Gameplay was great too. That God of War is widely regarded as one of the greatest games of all time.

The sequel to that comes out in 2 weeks. Can’t wait! Been a dry year for gaming other than Elden Ring.

Now I gotta play it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Right now my PC is kind of broken, only after me and my family will get over our current issues, I’ll be able to indulge in one of my favorite hobbies: videogames!

It’s already getting worse. The thing with me is I’m observing this from the background and seeing how all sides are leading to the eventual demise. I genuinely don’t see anyone being fully in the right here but everyone is so damn convinced they’re on the ‘right side of history.’ We forget that no matter what side we are on something, we share the same land, share the same genes and share the same reality. The sides are imaginary boundaries. But whatever, humans just being humans.

Something I’ve been thinking of doing though is holding zoom chats where we discuss controversial topics. Have open dialogue and try to actually come up with viable solutions to things. To actually approach conversations with open minds to whatever outlandish opinions people. If we can’t have these sorts of difficult discussions with open minds and open hearts, then we are doomed. I want to test myself to see if I can also do it. It’s very challenging but I think it’s a challenge worth pursuing in this day and age.

@SammyG @Dr_Manhattan I think we need to get rid of the internal/mental/spiritual poisons, like when we eat something that is not right, we need to throw up…
I think the throw up is currently going on and we - as individuals and as a society - are spouting our poisons, each one of us (male, female, feminist or otherwise, etc.) having gone through some trauma, having imperfections, our own pain and failures, but also our own truths…

Edit: Maaan, we need a new title for this thread… Lol

Bro, it’s not your fault or anyone’s, things happen…

Mmm, a balancing act. Yeah, that’s one of the only hopes I’ve had in my mind truly. I do think that the majority of the population are normal people who just carry on their lives and don’t have strong opinions on things. Aren’t leaning too much on either sides of things. Just living their life. Just being slightly swayed by the waves of the more active people in the colelctive.

The leaders/influencers of today are just yelling at echo chambers and making it a ‘us against them’ kinda thing. There aren’t enough leaders out there attempting to ground things and get us all to meet eachother in the middle.

Sorry about what? You were just sharing your opinion.

I let myself go, usually I try to stay more passive.

You guys don’t need my opinions
Like you say, trying to stay above it

Sammy is right about staying above it and not getting dragged into the madness. The rest is ego
