If you could live forever, would you?

I would

I just want to go back to the source.

Physical earth here itself is hard level playground mode for those players wanting to play this game.

My souls gets sent here to incarnate and discover/experience lessons needed to expand.

Once I gather all the lessons I’m outta here lol.

The ‘elites’ wanting to stay here for longer duration are coping.

Assuming good health and not being under duress, then there is no question. Most people have problems killing themselves and putting their lives in danger, so if you could choose to live forever, you simply would. That is, if there are conditions are such that you could easily live forever, you would do so. Choice wouldn’t even happen. If the question were, if I could avoid forever cancer, heart disease, decapitation, being mauled by lion, infirmity, aneurysms, etc., then the answer is to avoid. There’s no such thing as death without a destructive event to the body. Our deepest programming is to avoid that event, though we can override that event to save the life of another or for a cause greater than ourselves. But if I could avoid death with certainty, I would intervene in more situations. There’s no good argument for death; It’s a problematic contingency.

Immortality is a curse.

Having the ability to choose when you want to die is a blessing. ~ Sadhguru.

I guess it’s interesting to watch events unfold on earth, but the gift of life also has an end, dying is part of living too.

I wouldn’t mind living a good number of extra years, including choosing the number of years or when I will die.

They say that before we are born we are told when we will die… But over time we forget it.

Yep, thats a good answer, although I’ll get back to mine in a moment (Also the Pic/meme is 10/10).

If Humans would learn to respect Animals, Nature and Themselves, Sure, I would like to live forever, but still, not forever here, since after obtaining the knowledge and power, I would go live on/in other worlds too, I mean, this isn’t the only place in the Multiverse.

Again, we can talk all we want, but my current programming would not allow me to pass the opportunity, if I could, so yes, i would like to live forever, obtain a Higher Condition or Body, even while living on Earth (supposedly Jesus and others did achieve a Better, possibly immortal Light Body or something similar), however, it all depends on the circumstances - if life would be a literal hell on earth, Idk if living forever would be a blessing; also, if Immortality comes to question, I would probably like to help others better their life, I would work towards a better world, where humans are more understanding and compassionate towards themselves and all life, while still being warriors, if the need ever arrives.

After achieving Immortality, I would also want for my fellow humans and possibly other species, to achieve Immortality, but only if they are worthy (according to the Spiritual Laws, which I don’t know much about at the current moment).

Only if you hate yourself.

I mean like, literally!

If you love yourself and if you love life, then there is not a single scenario where you would wish “for this to end”.

Fake guru in my opinion. Just another agent of the system who promotes the mortalist propaganda.

As for the rest of this thread, I feel like too many folks here are still too infected with the ideology of “death”.

Just because your physical body will die one day, does not mean that you will.
You are literally immortal already.
People are literally immortal on the earth’s astral planes right here and right now.
And there is nothing you can do about it.
But if you guys would finally stop identifying yourselves with your physical body, that would help a lot with life in general.

Also, none of us here is going “to merge back into the Source” just because your physical body died. You all will continue your lives on the astral planes.

Between “The Source” and the astral planes, there are probably thousands of further dimensions and levels to ascend through before you finally get to “the Source”.

So to answer the original question “whether I would live forever if I could”:

It is not something I can choose.

Life is eternal and I am eternal.

It is impossible for me to not exist.

Since I cannot choose this because life is already eternal, I will reverse the question: “If you could die, would you?”.

And the answer to this is “NO! I would not.”

How much self-hate and resentment for life would someone need to have to choose to no longer exist?

Guys, before speculating about life and “death”, please do your homework and study the available materials on the topic. Even 3d earth scientists have been researching this for the past 50 years…

This reminds me of this movie

All these years, you have lived but never had a life.

Plot summary :

Adeline was in a car accident and her body became eternally youthful. Although she has an immortal body, the people around her will age and die. She can only leave again and again and change her identity again and again, leaving her destined to be lonely forever.

Death is a happy thing

trapped in the physical body forever (live in physical plane forever/ " Immortality" )

In my personal opinion, this movie is typical “mortalist propaganda”.

It implies and brainwashes people to accept the idea that “living eternaly is bad” because “you will need to leave others behind who are not as immortal as you”.

“Even if you could be immortal, others will not be like that, and you will suffer from seeing them pass.”

…which then tells to your Subconscious Mind that “you better not live longer than the others, because if you do, you will suffer”.

And with that:

“So in order to suffer less, you better accept that death is a good thing and that it is dangerous for you to stand out from the rest by living longer than them”.

“And to make sure that you don’t live longer than most, you better develop some diseases like all the others, so that you can die on time.”

Don’t you guys see the brainwashing here and all that is wrong here?

It is the “death idealogy” pushed down one’s throat disguised behind the tears of a beautiful woman and “as a romantic movie”.

The movie also brainwashes people to the idea that “not suffering” is better than loving yourself and than loving life itself.

I see what you are saying, but it won’t happen anyways, since the physical universe is temporary.

What shocks me the most is that people already consider “living 200 earth years” as a curse.

I mean, are you guys for real?
You are already giving up on life after such a short time span?
It is not like you are going to stay in the physical for Billions of years.
One can totally live physical life for Tens of Thousands of years and still enjoy it.
But most people already want to die after the first 100 years, which tells me they are infected with the “death ideology”.

Furthermore, it is not like we are fully trapped in the physical body.
People can always learn conscious astral traveling and travel to many other places.
Most people do not see this option because they were brainwashed to identify with their physical body only.

nice

after one day I am enlightenment and clean all karma can i still stay at the astral place? or i have to reunite back with my Higher Self immediately?

why tho? having a long life span is a blessing and I think 200 years is still not enough

even Andromeda’s average lifespan is around 2007 years. I want to experience how it feels like
living 2000+
but I am afraid if I live that long on Earth, scientists and the earth government might kidnap me to the lab

Yes, you can stay there for as along as you want.

Also, you always have free will and can decide when you want to merge back with your Higher Self.

It is movies like “Age of Adaline” that implant fears like these.

Those subconscious fears will need to be cleared if you don’t want to subconsciously sabotage your natural physical life span. (Because your Subconscious Mind will try to keep you safe at all costs, even if it means adopting toxic fearful beliefs in order to not stand out from the herd.)

If you consider in how much agony many people live, it´s not that irrational. For most, life is indeed like a never-ending battle, or at least feels like it.

But the desire to die, so one can leave to a “better place”, is pretty much the ultimate declaration of dis-empowerment.

I agree. The only reason why people want to shorten their life span, is because it is an escape for them (combined with a defeatism mindset).

Instead of doing their best to heal their issues once and for all, they choose the ultimate escape route of trying “to no longer exist”.

I understand that everyone wants to find their peace, however escapism, like any type of coping, never really brings peace. It only prolongs the unresolved problem into the future.

Indeed. Give me 10000 years of life in this body, that way I can see what I’m capable of doing with this Incarnation, to truly see my potential, although, I would like to live like at least a million years, in this body (well, maybe with many upgrades lol, but still, in/with this incarnation).

Here are a few reasons to continue life as Gheorghe:
I will definitely remember the past (at least this life) and I will be able to learn lessons much better this way;
I will enjoy it more, since I’m familiar with my past, my body, my current identity, without having to take it all from beginning;
All the knowledge that I have accumulated, it will remain and be used continously;
I will have reasons and goals which will be connected;
I will suffer less, since I have already achieved a good sense of relaxation, joy, etc., no need for new body, new issues, new family, new identity, new drama…

Edit:

Indeed.

Also, If I miss my family/dead relatives, friends, etc., I’ll just pay them a visit lol - no need to die to see them.

What are the reasons the Elites do this?

Why do they want us to live less (in our physical bodies)?

Better manipulation of the masses?
Fresh new identities that they can mold better than the older ones?
Financial/Economic Advantages?
Teenagers are the perfect victims of the porn industry, drugs, alcohol, addictions of all sorts, and of many other machinations (compared to their older peers)?

What else (I know there are many possible reasons)?

They clearly have the incentives to reduce human lifespans.

Control.
The same reason all power hungry morons strive after.
They do not understand that control does not lead to freedom and happiness.
And they do not understand that having control without freedom and happiness is absolutely worthless.
They are fooling themselves.

If you live long enough, you might eventually get tired of their shit and see through their manipulations and free yourself from it – and by this become a danger to their system.

That’s what they want you to be distracted 24/7, so that you waste as much of your time as possible and thus reduce “the risk of waking up”.

Yes.

Yes.

Not really. They can print as much money as they want.

Compound interest without an estate tax? Probably not.

The elites or just about anyone with more cash than years tries to convert that cash into more life. Alexander the Great is just one of many who searched for immortality. Look at end-of-life medical spending—people want to live. The idea that people don’t want to outlive their cohort is nonsense, but that idea that was once pushed as a consolation to offset the tragedy of death is not presented as an idea not to pursue life extension now that it is within our grasp. Life extension will present problems, of course, but hardly on the scale that death does.

Yes, I would like to live forever, in good health and young again, with magical powers, and lots of money. Would be great!

Absolutely not!

Just as there is no light without darkness and no peace without chaos, there is no life without death. There’s no escape from that basic truth. It is not something to be feared or avoided.

I definitely wouldn’t want to be in this life, watching everyone die around me, watching civilization deteriorating and the last days of the Earth. Not only that, but as years pass, you would not only become bored, but also apathetic. It’s nothing but entropy.

I believe that the soul is immortal. There’s no need for the body to be the same.
