On Arrogance and Ignorance…

The moneyless man and self sustainability

I find this quote shame and guilt-tripping.

The question that this guy does not answer is “why should I be concerned with the concept of waste at the expense of my own short-term well being and comfort?”.

I know it is an “arrogant question”, but I want to point out a huge limiting belief that this guy is spreading.

The solution for everyone, humans and nature, is not “to be forced to consume less” and “be forced to be happy with less”, but to advance technology to a point where everyone can have everything in whatever amount they need and want and the same time without ruining the environment and planet.

When 1.5 Billions Chinese want to drive the newest cars, the solution is not to produce less cars and shame them for wanting to drive a car, but the solution is to invent cars that are 100% environmentally friendly and made out of resources that were materialized of thin air or something like that.

In a physical world, technology is the answer to all material limitations.
Including to being self sustainable.

And technology is probably the only solution how humans with their physical desires can co-exist with Gaia in harmony without one destroying the other.

If all the money that went into climate activism would be spent on real technological research, humanity would be already at a much further point and live much more environmentally friendly.

Ok, so this is admittedly not a quote. But it is inspirational. I was reminded of this today. It always amps me up when I watch it. I hope it does the same for you (whoever you are) :sparkles:

I stand quiet and don’t judge your journey. Who am I to know what you know or what you may not know. You shed those tears in your very being, all I ever wish for is for your hearts joy and joy in what your are seeing. Remember, journeys are harsh at times but end outcome is yours to cherish because just know the universe is mysteriously agreeing. Like the tree rooted deep into the core, it was only when it reached the clouds did he realise what these growing pains were for…

Why did the yogi bring a ladder to the meditation class?

Because they wanted to reach the higher self! :woman_in_lotus_position::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Make Existence Your Home And ALL Life, Your Family.:heart:

(I have no idea where this comes from, this thought appeared in my head)

Reminded me of this.

"If then you do not make yourself equal to God, you cannot apprehend God; for like is known by like.
Leap clear of all that is corporeal, and make yourself grown to a like expanse with that greatness which is beyond all measure; rise above all time and become eternal; then you will apprehend God. Think that for you too nothing is impossible; deem that you too are immortal, and that you are able to grasp all things in your thought, to know every craft and science; find your home in the haunts of every living creature; make yourself higher than all heights and lower than all depths; bring together in yourself all opposites of quality, heat and cold, dryness and fluidity; think that you are everywhere at once, on land, at sea, in heaven; think that you are not yet begotten, that you are in the womb, that you are young, that you are old, that you have died, that you are in the world beyond the grave; grasp in your thought all of this at once, all times and places, all substances and qualities and magnitudes together; then you can apprehend God.

But if you shut up your soul in your body, and abase yourself, and say “I know nothing, I can do nothing; I am afraid of earth and sea, I cannot mount to heaven; I know not what I was, nor what I shall be,” then what have you to do with God?"

Though I like how you put it.

Thank You, but I can’t take any credit, since many of “my thoughts” are spontaneous and I have no idea where they come from (could be from What I read or heard somewhere or from other Sources; also, the Subconscious or the Human Collective Consciousness/Subconscious could be the Sources, who knows).

However, since they are passing through my head, why not share them (especially if they are Beautiful) (?)

Now, however, if I would make money from ideas, I would claim them, no problem.

Anyway, I went off topic…

Thank You for that Amazing Quote from Hermes Trismegistus.

Zen koan:

“If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.”

This koan invites contemplation on the nature of attachment and the idea that even our conceptualizations of enlightenment or external sources of wisdom can become obstacles on our own spiritual path. It encourages individuals to look within themselves for understanding and not become overly reliant on external authorities or symbols.
