Is law of the attraction anti-christian?

Saw a video which says that LOA is anti-christian and a magic practice.Searched for it and a lot of people have made similar videos.Whats your opinion?

In my opinion the LOA is just a tool. It depends on how the user handles the material gain.

Is he using the wealth he received only for himself? Is it making him more attached to / detached from the material material world?

Mathew 19:16-30 comes to mind:

If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.

LoA is a way to interpret one of the spiritual laws that govern our experience on earth.
In and of itself it is just as anti-christian as the law of gravity or thermo-dynamics.

Jehoshua (the one you call Jesus of Nazareth) taught the law of how to get what you want by becoming one with god. It is just that most people didn’t understand what he was actually saying.

I want to add: If you are serious about manifesting you should look into Neville Goddard. Manifesting isn’t something you do sometimes by using the LOA, you literally do it every second of your life, without noticing it.

@anon96557306 I don’t think the law of attraction (LOA) is anti-Christian. I personally see it as a “neutral” way to improve your life, just like doing physical exercises/sports/aerobic is a “neutral” thing (to improve your physical body and even mind) that’s not against any religions whatsoever.

I would even argue that LOA is in fact in agreement with Christianity. You know how LOA tells you to act/think/feel as if what you want has already been manifested? Well, the Bible’s Mark 11:24 says “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”, which to me sounds very much like LOA

Thank you all for your answers.

I’m not a Christian, so take my words with a grain of salt, but I would see the attraction process as a form of prayer. If God is in everything, then what is LoA but thinking about God?

Not a Christian. Neville teaches that you yourself are God, in other words is an internal affair, while Christianity places God externally. Though Neville didn’t teach loa per se, but sth more profound (your own imagination being the creator), one could argue that loa is then indeed anti Christian as in the underlying notion of who and where is the creator

I’m sure in the original scriptures that LOA was supported and def talked about. However, the elite as well as Christian religions today have basically reframed it to make LOA look “evil” and “satanic” because they don’t want ppl to independently work on themselves.

Mark 11:24

Once you really get into the root of thoughts, prayer, etc. Blue becomes red.
