Large amount of water evaporating overnight

Hi,

there is a large glass (see through) vase on the table in the living room with flowers in it.
I was having lunch next to it yesterday, all fine, then this morning the water (about 0.5-1l) was all gone, only a little bit left on the bottom… and the flowers completely dried out.

Of course it’s possible I am mistaken, but more fun to imagine I am not.

SO… what is this?
Alien landing/abduction? Glitch in the matrix? I jumped dimensions? Did the vase travel in time?
Let the weirdness lose :D
