Not to mention ë and ê… hé… and so many more… Personal favorite: créée (feminine past form of the verb “créer” lol).

Or say, the name Jacques. 7 letters for 3 sounds. I struggled to learn that because in my language we would write it as “Jak” and that’s it (we have unchangeable pronunciation and always one precise sound per letter. Except for one).

Nevertheless, French is beautiful. No meme to describe it :p
