When we consume food, we also consume everything that has gone into making it.
Strange i know, but let me draw your attention a 2008 movie staring Britney Murphy called ‘the ramen girl’.
The idea introduced by the movie, was that emotions play a role in creating the flavors of the dish.
Human being naturally empathic beings tend to pick up these subtle energies and be affected by it.
If you feel joy when cooking, a bit of that joy is embedded into your dish, which in turn makes those who eat it feel joy as well.
It may well be, that being happy may cause you to add a little more sugar or flavoring which creates a sweeter product. In a similar way anger or depression would have a similar effect, which may not be an effect you want.
The things we feel, directly affects the world around us, not only in an subtle energy way but in the actions we do.I think it would be a good idea to create a more conscious way of cooking for a meal that nourishes
that mind, body and spirit.
Keeping along this line of thought.
There is an interesting practice by Siberian people who live a more natural form of life.
What they do is before planting seeds, they hold the seeds in their mouth for about 9-10 mins.
Sounds strange right?
But there is a deeper meaning to it.
The idea is that their feelings, energy and state of their body becomes information that the seed will keep.
So the seeds are planted like this, and when they fruit, the information they have placed before,
will be reflected in the fruit and nutrition would have a more tailored fit to the person who planted it.
In fact it may even provide a more specified and tailored healing in times of illness.
This may be a cool experiment you can try on your own time.
Remember we learn by experimenting.

Oh yes!
I wholeheartedly agree. Food wars or shokugeki no soma is a fun way of depicting this.
There’s also the great british baking show!
