Very interesting. Just like me, she is speaking about the journey of going from being a NPC to a conscious Player:
I don’t agree with her definition of egregores but what she says about their influence on people’s goals is true, they can influence but they can’t force people to do except those of weak minds.
An egregore takes birth from a collective pool of common thoughts over a very long period of time, a simple example is a prayer in a church or a mosque. It takes a life on its own and it feeds on more and more of same thoughts coming from more people and this the lady calls it aptly feeding on time. However there are no laws for ergregores they are autonomous the only law is survival, stronger (positive or negative) kills the weaker or neutralises the weaker.
There could be higher and higher forms of egregores which formed over centuries or thousands of years ago or even before from earlier civilizations on the planet but it is always good vs evil, some which are good contributing to the well being of the planet and its inhabitants while evil egrogores just want to destroy everything.
Humans on the planet are collectively feeding both positive and negative egregores all the time and the choice to feed whom is with the humans not egregores.
Well i feel it’s better phrased as “those with certain unconscious vulnerabilities” since the seemingly strongest of people can have a flaw that never noticed
Thanks for the explanation
Yes even the strong minds have weaknesses but they fight against them while weak minds give in to their weaknesses easily and are easily controlled.
