Queries for the Questers

Let’s get the chat going! Use this area for musings or lurking but even better for asking questions and sharing ways to be in the world. Feel free to share your wizarding ways, but please don’t come here looking to set yourself up as a guru. We’re only talking, right? Let’s share our fun practices and dreams!

First, the word “esoteric” means hidden or protected - like secrets that are kept only for those who seek to look beneath the surface or behind the curtain.

Here is the database of releases by the Esoteric Arts Guild. Feel free to share your experiences with them.

Here are a few questions to stir the cauldron! :woman_mage: :mage:

  • What areas of metaphysics, magic or the esoteric are you most curious about right now, and why?
  • Have you experienced any roadblocks in manifesting your goals using energetic or metaphysical methods? What do you think might help you overcome them?
  • If there was a field that could help you unlock a specific ability or skill, what would it be, and how would you use it in your life?
  • How do you feel about the concept of working with historical or mythical archetypes in your personal transformation journey?
  • What are your biggest frustrations when using energetic or morphic fields? Are there specific issues that seem resistant to change?
  • When seeking a higher level of guidance, what form would be most meaningful to you—claircognizant insights, visions, dreams, or something else?
  • Do you struggle with integrating the gains you make from using morphic fields into your daily life? What would help you make the changes more lasting and impactful?
  • In your journey of self-discovery and magic, what is one thing you wish you had more clarity or support on?
  • If you could change or enhance any aspect of your life through esoteric means, what would it be, and how would that transformation impact you?
  • What kind of mystical tools or esoteric practices do you feel are missing from your current arsenal, and how do you imagine they could help you in your journey?

I’ll get the ball rolling.

Do any of you have methods of testing the truth or benefit of a thing or of a matter?

Some use a pendulum or muscle testing. Me, I use my mind, cause hey how often are you gonna whip out your pendulum in the grocery store to test which vitamin to buy? Ok, truth, yeah I’ve done that. Also I have muscle tested in public. But I don’t need to use my hands. I use the “esoteric” method, lol. I do it in my mind.

But honestly, I’ve been doing it so long that doing it in my mind is easy. I can either see myself muscle testing or just sense the answer. But if you don’t have a verification method - like for “Is this food still good, or should I throw it out?”, I suggest using a physical pendulum or learning to muscle test.

Here’s the muscle testing I use when I don’t care who’s looking (like all the time, right?)

The Ring-In-Ring Test:

Make a closed ring or circle shape with the thumb and middle finger on one hand. Make the same shape with the thumb and middle finger of the other hand. Join the rings together like two links in a chain. You can use this manual muscle testing technique in two different ways:

  1. Choose one hand to be the resistance ring and one hand to be the pressure ring. The pressure ring will remain locked closed, while the resistance ring will break for a “no” answer and remain closed for a “yes” answer.

  2. Or you can instead intend for both rings to remain locked on a “yes” answer, and both to break on a “no” answer.

The truth is that I used to use a pendulum… but what really confirms for me if something is working is using Angelic Intercession. They ALWAYS know how to respond and guide us. Plus, whenever something “isn’t working” or functioning very poorly, I end up with a bad stomach or constipation… or something like that. Those are my little signs. Too much info? :upside_down_face:

Here come all my brain squirrels:

Areas of curiosity: The intersection between metaphysics and psychology intrigues me. The way our beliefs and emotions can influence our reality is a field that seems to have a lot of potential. I’m also interested in using the esoteric for social influence to achieve the common good quickly and effectively. And of course… the relationship between what is considered “fiction” or “fantasy” and our experience in this dimension (like with King Arthur and Merlin :smirk: :hearts:).

Obstacles in manifestation: Sometimes, the doubt of not knowing how long a morphic field will take to take effect or whether I’m maximizing its potential can be significant obstacles.

Historical or mythical archetypes: These days, I’m working with all things Camelot and Avalon. I can’t complain.

Frustrations with energetic fields: Sometimes, the perception that certain changes are persistent and difficult to achieve can be frustrating. Perhaps a lack of focus or clear direction contributes to this. A more structured approach or the use of anchoring techniques could be helpful. Something like… throwing an anchor and not allowing yourself to get frustrated… but at the same time, guiding you towards greater effectiveness (I think the new morphic field of Best Path Hardcore mode might help with this… or Angelic Intercession… Yes, it’s my solution for everything :smirk:).

Integration of benefits: Journaling can help anchor the benefits. At least, in my case.

Clarity and support: I would like to have more clarity on how to maximize all the benefits offered by the fields… And on this topic, as much as I love Angelic Intercession, they have never responded clearly… as in “for dummies”. I’ve invited them to do so through dreams, books I feel guided to read… movies or series I feel guided to watch… They did respond, but those means lack clarity and conciseness… except for dreams, which can be highly clear, although rarely.

Change through esoteric means: Improving my connection with my life purpose and direction would be transformative… but as I said before, maybe the new Best Path can help with that.

Missing mystical tools: Perhaps I would like to explore more about alchemy and the creation of morphic fields… on a large scale. So that together we can create energetic fields that can change “fixed” patterns in society. Oooooor something like a bomb, but the opposite… not destructive, but reconstructive. Something that has the same impact as a bomb, but is regenerative, brings peace, wholeness, and has an enormous or immeasurable range of influence.

My long-term goal is to become Tech Entrepreneur (SAAS) and serial investor. Short-term, Creative Entrepreneur in E-com.

I reckon it’s my current self that is hindering my manifestation results. There’s a lot of crap beliefs that is fed to me over these years from family and friends. So, I am working on changing my perspectives, identity and beliefs.
Thoughts seems to change by taking on different identity and aligning with that frequency. Attention isn’t a problem as I cut off ALL my distractions (pretty impressive, pat on the back).

This is the stack I’ve been using for 2 months. The results are great (understatement).

  • Ego dissolution: Increased awareness. While meditating with the field, I can clearly be aware of my emotional state, my feelings towards certain things, triggers, root causes of addictions and Impulsions). One of the keys for manifestation is being aware of the frequency and the feeling we are emitting from within. Ego dissolution, for me personally, makes me more aware.

  • Energy Body/Aura Deep Clearing Cleaning: Early morning. I use this field with intent. So, while meditating with Ego dissolution I got this idea that everything exists with myself are just energies. Everything like addictions, beliefs, thoughts etc. So, I identity the ones I need to clear. Then clear them with intent.

  • Subconscious Limits Removal Ver 3: To change beliefs.

  • Hope and happiness: This one clears the guilty feeling. I have money guilt complex. I lose money randomly. I also lost few hundred bucks trading in stocks (F&O). So, this helps me to forget, let go and feel alright.

  • Emotional Release: Simply to clear the negative emotions.

  • The Internal Alchemical Crucible: I use this after Emotional release. I also use this whenever I have self-doubt about my abilities. Most of my self-doubts are regarding my abilities to work and succeed. Surprisingly this field clears them.

  • Dissolver of Mental Limits album.

There were serious addictions as I used to waste days and months indulging with them. But I managed to properly clear and let go of addictions, impulsive behaviors & thoughts. Now I’m free. But long way to go.

Oh my gosh. I am so excited to see this thread. I’ve been seeking something like this here for a while.

I’d like to read and share about different fun ways to engage with spirit in the world… in a light hearted way.

Something I strived to get away from was too much seriousness in spirituality. I started looking for ways to infuse wonder, joy and excitement into every day connection.

This led to a few fun spiritual games.

One was taught to me by a friend… sit with a similar minded person and together connect with essence/spirit. Share the delight of the game and express you’re going to send the pure essence of unconditional love out to a person, place, or thing in your immediate environment (the same one, together), and—would you please show us the love was received with a clear and obvious response?

Together, send the love in a beam to the chosen thing or person until you feel complete with it. Wait.

Look around with soft eyes… you’ll see it!

My favorite responses were these:

We sat in a busy plaza outside of a coffee shop and sent the unconditional love to a light post straight ahead. It was a day with no clouds in sight, no rhyme or reason for a storm. Less than a minute after sending and waiting, lightning struck right above the light pole! It was the only lightning we witnessed that entire day.

Another, was we sent love to a person and then shortly after saw a person walking through the crowd with a shirt filled with huge red and pink hearts.

Love this game. Keeps the razzle dazzle in your life.

In regards to my way of finding truth?

Depends on your identification of truth.

I identify it by the essence of what we call GOD and everything that is found within it. I ring a buzzer in that area for “truth”, perhaps considered “divine truth” and then weigh the current options and choose the one most aligned with the divine.

Oh yeah almost forgot. I count also. I test how long it will take before the circle breaks to see how strong or weak the thing I am testing is. Like maybe I wanted to know which field to play next and was testing 3 different ones. The one that takes longest to break is the winner.

Oh yes! Forgot to mention. Ego dissolution also dissolves resistance. Very impressive. For example: I used to have resistance to work on something new. In my journey, everyday something new pops up that I need work with. For example, I work with AI systems, TTS models, building new databases, retrieval and fine-tuning them. I also work in the creative industry too, with Adobe After effects to create animated content. Not to mention Client acquisition, through organic content, Cold E-mails etc. All this without knowing If I will succeed. So there’s a lot of resistance as there’s not much outcome. To wake up, do the work, and at the end of the day, cope myself that the journey will be worth it in the long run.
So, these resistances come from the suffering, without outcome. But I actively change that while meditating with Ego dissolution.

Seems like I only overcame self-destructive patterns and behaviors (that’s a good start). Considering my desired self doesn’t have any of such qualities, I can consider this as a small win I guess.

I would love a field that integrates the A Course in Miracles workbook lessons for you each day (365 of them) that you listen to it. I’ve done the workbook a couple of times and had some great experiences from that.

Doing a bit of light reading on my favorite topic of identity (well, one of my favs anyway) and this came up. Will muse on it later. :woman_mage: :mage:

The Ship of Theseus is a famous philosophical thought experiment that explores questions of identity, change, and what it means for something to remain the “same” over time. This paradox has intrigued philosophers for centuries and goes as follows:

The Thought Experiment:

Imagine the legendary ship of Theseus, a great hero of Greek mythology. Over time, the wooden planks of the ship begin to rot and are gradually replaced with new, identical pieces of wood. Eventually, every single part of the ship is replaced. The question arises: Is the ship, after all its parts have been replaced, still the same ship of Theseus?

Now consider a twist: Suppose all the original planks that were replaced are gathered and used to reconstruct the ship exactly as it was before. Now we have two ships—one made of new materials but following the original design, and one made entirely of the original parts. Which of these ships, if either, is the true Ship of Theseus?

The Philosophical Questions:

This thought experiment gives rise to several key questions about identity and change:

  1. What Makes Something the Same Over Time?
  • If an object undergoes changes, can it still be considered the same object? The Ship of Theseus is an exploration of the concept of persistence—how something maintains its identity over time despite changes.
  • Is it the form or structure that makes the ship the same, or is it the material substance? For instance, is the identity of the ship tied to the fact that it still “functions” as Theseus’s ship, or is it tied to having the original materials?
  1. Material Composition vs. Continuity:
  • The materialist view suggests that identity is tied to the original parts. In that sense, the ship rebuilt with the original planks should be considered the true Ship of Theseus.
  • On the other hand, the continuity view suggests that identity is more about the continuity of form and function over time. The ship that had its parts gradually replaced might still be considered the original because it has continuously existed without interruption.
  1. Implications for Personal Identity:
  • The Ship of Theseus has implications for personal identity. Just like the ship, the cells in the human body are constantly replaced over time, roughly every 7-10 years. Does that mean you are no longer the same person you were a decade ago? What makes you “you”? Is it continuity of consciousness, your memories, or something else?

Four-Dimensionalism (Temporal Parts Theory): Some philosophers propose that objects are not static entities but rather extend across time, composed of temporal parts. In this view, the Ship of Theseus at any point in time is only one “part” of a larger four-dimensional entity. Both versions (the reconstructed and the gradually replaced one) might be valid temporal parts of the original entity.

The Ship of Theseus invites us to explore the very nature of identity and how it applies to everything from material objects to human consciousness. It asks whether identity is something static, tied to the original components, or if it’s a dynamic feature related to continuity and form. This paradox also helps in understanding modern philosophical debates about consciousness, personal identity, and what it means to “be.”

Sure - this will be a long post though. :grinning: It’s been a number of years since I’ve done the ACIM Workbook and most of the lessons are great so it’s hard to choose. I have been thinking more about ACIM lately.
The irony of the lessons is the less you are interested in or like a lesson is a sign that the more you need to learn it. The lessons also build on each other.

Some intro excerpts from the Workbook:
“The exercises are numbered from 1 to 365. ⁶Do not undertake to do more than one set of exercises (lesson) a day. (https://acim.org/acim/en/s/401#2:5-6 | W-in.2:5-6)”

“Remember only this; you need not believe the ideas, you need not accept them, and you need not even welcome them. ²Some of them you may actively resist. ³None of this will matter, or decrease their efficacy. ⁴But do not allow yourself to make exceptions in applying the ideas the workbook contains, and whatever your reactions to the ideas may be, use them. ⁵Nothing more than that is required. (https://acim.org/acim/en/s/401#9:1-5 | W-in.9:1-5)”

This is a huge lesson:

"Lesson 5

I am never upset for the reason I think.

  1. This idea, like the preceding one, can be used with any person, situation or event you think is causing you pain. ²Apply it specifically to whatever you believe is the cause of your upset, using the description of the feeling in whatever term seems accurate to you. ³The upset may seem to be fear, worry, depression, anxiety, anger, hatred, jealousy or any number of forms, all of which will be perceived as different. ⁴This is not true. ⁵However, until you learn that form does not matter, each form becomes a proper subject for the exercises for the day. ⁶Applying the same idea to each of them separately is the first step in ultimately recognizing they are all the same.

  2. When using the idea for today for a specific perceived cause of an upset in any form, use both the name of the form in which you see the upset, and the cause which you ascribe to it. ²For example:

³I am not angry at _________ for the reason I think.
⁴I am not afraid of _________ for the reason I think.

  1. But again, this should not be substituted for practice periods in which you first search your mind for “sources” of upset in which you believe, and forms of upset which you think result.

  2. In these exercises, more than in the preceding ones, you may find it hard to be indiscriminate, and to avoid giving greater weight to some subjects than to others. ²It might help to precede the exercises with the statement:

³There are no small upsets. ⁴They are all equally disturbing to my peace of mind.

  1. Then examine your mind for whatever is distressing you, regardless of how much or how little you think it is doing so.

  2. You may also find yourself less willing to apply today’s idea to some perceived sources of upset than to others. ²If this occurs, think first of this:

³I cannot keep this form of upset and let the others go. ⁴For the purposes of these exercises, then, I will regard them all as the same.

  1. Then search your mind for no more than a minute or so, and try to identify a number of different forms of upset that are disturbing you, regardless of the relative importance you may give them. ²Apply the idea for today to each of them, using the name of both the source of the upset as you perceive it, and of the feeling as you experience it. ³Further examples are:

⁴I am not worried about _________ for the reason I think.
⁵I am not depressed about _________ for the reason I think.

⁶Three or four times during the day is enough. (https://acim.org/acim/en/s/407#1:1-7:6 | W-5.1:1–7:6)"

These are three that I love and always remember:

Lesson 2: I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me.
Lesson 32: I have invented the world I see.
Lesson 33: There is another way of looking at the world.

Thank you!

In my view, it is still the same ship of Theseus. The identity is tied with Theseus. Not with the ship’s material substance, wood or anything that has to do with the ship itself. We can develop a new ship with different materials, but at the end of the day, it’s going to be used the same way as before.

Now, let’s take the same ship and transfer its ownership to you @Rosechalice. As the identity changes, the world view changes. By that, the ship will undergo multiple changes as well. Now with your command, it is not going to be used the same as before.
