sleep apnea blocks the airway from receiving sufficient oxygen. less oxygen during sleep triggers survival instincts that disrupt the deep sleep cycle
unconsciously holding a mewing mouth posture overnight keeps the mouth shut, stopping mouth breathing and forces the upper airway to expand and open up, promoting better oxygenation
