The best way to pump up your upper body and make it look the best in the moment is to have a leg work out
Explanation:
Before bodybuilding shows, bodybuilders pump up with weights behind stage… What they do is nothing like their actual work outs they’ve been doing all year, they’re just trying to get blood into the muscle tissue with out causing muscle tears and inflammation (inflammation is watery and drowns out detail in muscle, so you won’t see much fibers and seperation but you’ll surely look bigger lol)
When working out legs, you have the perfect amount of upper body activation to get the perfect pump with out drowning detail in the physique
I’ve always seen it, I’m like “damn, front and back looks good!” After hitting legs
But after back day for example, my back would look bigger sure but less defined, but my chest would look nice, but my back might have so much blood in it that it overthrows the front and causes asymmetry and throws off the balance
But when I hit legs everything is perfect… Except legs of course, legs become two hot dogs (exaggeration lol there’s still seperation guy talkin) just two thick ass long inflated balloons yanamsayin? cheyuh!

Hypothesis to why this is:
Considering the damage that the lower body has partaken, the body is under emergency healing mode so naturally this won’t breed the right circumstances to sustain lively appearing muscles
This is because the lower body is half the body… And when hitting legs, everything is partially targeted too, it’s the most damaging day of all the days, the single greatest exercise at diminishing glycogen within muscle, the single greatest, most energy consuming by the second, motion in human existence
So body is in weeee yooo weeee yoooo mode to heal
This is also mainly why leg day gives the greatest testosterone surge, because of how much damage has been done, the body produces hormones to compensate
