For me the main limitation is adequate payment methods. Paypal isn’t available here, and, Patreon doesn’t like prepaid visa cards.

If you buy from an user…I guess you could pay them in crypto. I don’t see the love for paypal…they take a nice cut. Getting paid in crypto and changing it to fiat (if you wish) could be cheaper.
As for regular nfts from the shop…I guess there is no work around paypal or a normal card.
