You have your own work to do. Do that. Don’t “help” your brother. The help he really want he will ask. No need to do all these stuff. After a while if you continue doing that you will suffer for no reason. I gone through it with my bigger sister plus friend. A suffering that was not going anywhere, worst that worse.
You do you, you help when you see fit just so you can exercise your judgement too and both should benefit from help. Helping should make you feel good firstplace, no need for all those childish things. When you grow up more people will be defiecient in character along the way anyways, if you let it drag you down by being “helpful” you will sink down to the level.
Just let it be and act accordingly in the future starting with your intuition and building logical patterns on how to judge the world.
