Yeah that is the āhardā scifi genre. Thatās how it is. In order of āhardnessā Iād put him then Isaac Asimov and then Frank Herbert. In order of descending hardness. Or dryness. Asimov got better later on at storytelling rather than just scifi telling.
Ray Bradbury Iād put between Asimov and Herbert. Herbert to be fair though was really good in the literary sense from the start.
