Let me tell you a few such stories, if you want.
That is creepy. Almost gives me goosebumps.
Iām kinda scared but if youāre going toā¦better to do it before night xD
but let me say i think it is just other weird oddball lunatic romanians xD
i need me some protection xD
I was shocked, believe me, and ai am not easily shocked, really ugy growl, like a creature or something.
It obviously did Not like St Michael.
I did that once and it opened to a verse saying āThou Shalt Not Practice Divinationā. I swear for real that happened.
I believe you.
Kinda freaked me out like oh shit Iām being watched. Lol.
Iād love to hear.
Best result ever, man xD
This was called red book in my countryā¦i dont remember what the red book was, but the bible could be used too. There was some stuff involving using scissors and whatnot but forgot howā¦i guess you just stick them in the book and then read where they got at.
Story timeā¦
Story number 1 (again, these are things relatives, neighbors told me, so I have no idea how accurate they are, but stillā¦):
The following story is old, brutal, it does not end wellā¦
One neighbor, originally from a different county told me something which happened in their village, decades ago, idk, anyway, in the first half of the 20th century (I think, but it could be XIX century, who knows, old story) ā¦
Beware, those were other times, people with certain old mentality, etc.
In a village in Transilvania, cows were not giving their milk, people suspicious, started to talk and someone, whose cow was currently not giving milk, said that he shall stay hidden and observe.
He observed and he saw a huge cat going in and sucking milk from the cow, he suddenly confronted the cat with a pitchfork and stabbed it in the forehead, but āthe catā retreated, it disappeared; he called for all villagers to gather and see who (or if one of them) was responsible, and one old woman did not showed upā¦
People went to her house and found her with bandages on her forehead area; they removed those and found her with pitchfork marks/wounds right where that guy stabbed the catā¦
Supposedly they took her somewhere and killed her.
You can say she was innocent, who knowsā¦
Tragic end.
Any thougths?
I have other stories, not that brutal.
Iām glad they arenāt that brutal.
I never heard of cat people though. It would be uncommon there? Like, there are no tigers there right?
No tigers.
In romanian folklore, There are supposedly 2 types of Strigoi: dead and alive ones.
The dead start searching for victims, many times from their own families, they suck blood and/or feed on someoneās energy.
The (a)live oned are people, just like me and you, but supernatural onesā¦
Werecat. Sounds cool. Death sentence for stealing milk is harsh though. She wasnāt stealing peopleās kids to eat or anything just some milk.
Yes, VERY HARSH Sentenceā¦
I would have tried to make a deal with her. Like you get this amount of milk every month but you have to show up in cat form if Iām ever attacked by bandits.
Sounds like an easy recipe for witch hunts. But how would I know, may be real.
Both equally scary. Usually in the stories the alive ones could have powers to control the other ones?
Spain had its own strigois but it wasnāt that common. They also got away with whatever they did.
There were nobles and stuff, that took blood from children (not the typical weāre messed up in the head elites, but for medical research or medicine, that wasnāt that advanced back then). Apparently this kind of thing always happened while there were real strigois. When the doctor doing stuff was found, and other more normal stuff (some deranged people that liked to eat humans or whatever), the strigois disappeared.
So yeah, there wasnāt enough space for speculation. But some people swear they did meet them, and they just left at the right time.
The alive ones are more dangerous in some ways, the dead ones more dangerous in other ways.
They donāt like garlic, for some reason, although I donāt know if it kills them, more like it repells them.
Story 2?
Yes pleaseā¦itās night already xD
