So i got root canal done. My question is. Is the teeth regeneration can help regrow the pulp? Technically if so its not necessary need a crown right?
unless you are planning on not eating for 3 weeks (more or less the audio “could” take to regrow the pulp) you kinda need the crown.
My government insurance dont cover the crown
Google:
While it is technically possible to leave a tooth after a root canal without a crown, it is not recommended as the tooth will be significantly weaker and more prone to breaking, especially if it is a back tooth, and could lead to a shorter lifespan for the treated tooth; a crown is usually necessary to protect the tooth and extend its longevity after a root canal procedure.
Key points to consider:
Tooth location:
Front teeth may last longer without a crown as they experience less chewing pressure, but back teeth (molars and premolars) usually require a crown for added strength.
Remaining tooth structure:
If a significant amount of tooth structure is left after the root canal, a crown may be necessary even for a front tooth.
Risk of fracture:
Without a crown, the tooth is more likely to crack or break due to biting forces.
Lifespan:
A tooth with a crown after a root canal can last 15-20 years, while a tooth without a crown might only last 1-5 years.
how are you doing? i too might need to do root canal, im kind of scared how has the experience been for you
Hi @ashgrrr
Painful. When they drilled my tooth, it was nothing. Then, a day later, the pain started. It continues to this day.
