Spinning sensation during meditation

Hi everyone,

Recently I bought the energy course and I started listening to the mediation audio yesterday. Today, after 5 minutes of meditation, I started to feel like si was spinning, it was super disturbing, do you guys know what it means ? I’ve read stuff online and certain people think it means that im not grounded enough… I kinda freak out to be honest, I listened to the automated grounding field immediately afterwards. Should I keep meditating ?

As far as I know it happens when body isn’t in the state of resistance thus can pick up on ‘subtle’ energy, and the movement is usually circular

While I am not an expert nor am I doubting your experience, are you sure it wasn’t your mind that was super disturbed?
For me it’s usually a pleasant one, but again we may not be talking about the same thing

I don’t think that it was just a disturbance, it’s hard to explain, when I was able to finally not think about anything and just focusing on my breath, it felt like I was floating and then I felt like my entire body was spinning. I’ve never experienced something like that.

I do get scared too, and start thinking again. Being in a safe and secure space with a loving enviroment can help. Although ultimately the fear is something you have to get over.

As far as I know it is normal during meditation, especially for some people, to get this “spinning” sensation or even the head starting to move around in circles because the crown chakra while meditating raises its frequency (actually spins faster) to receive higher frequencies from above and one of the resulting sensations experienced by the physical body can be the one you are describing. Could also be that you get those feelings much more intensified because of some blockages you have or something else that is being worked on. Nothing to worry about, imo. I never did that specific meditation of the course though so could also be something different depending on the purpose of that specific type of meditation (especially if it’s fielded).

yeah usually I’m alone in the dark in my room, which kinda scary too

I definitely could feel it in my crown chakra, thank you I think I feel reassured now. The meditation audio in supposed to push my brain to be in a state between theta and delta and dissipate the ego… I don’t know how it relates to the spinning sensation tho

I have this too interspersed with intense yawning. This has been going on for about 5 years or so now with no signs of stopping. I don’t mind the movements but the yawning can be frustrating when doing breathing meditations. I think it’s just a way of channeling the energy and the yawning seems to indicate shifts for me. My hands will also start doing different sporadic gestures. I’ve heard this referred to as kriyahs and I just go with it. This goes for the speaking in tongues, or light language as it’s been more recently referred to that comes through me sometimes during these kind of episodes. For some reason I’ve never found it concerning. And in my case at least I can easily stop it in it’s tracks if I wanted to but I don’t. This kind of attitude has also lent to amazing astral travel and lucid dreaming experiences and more if you’re into that kind of thing.
