Style 101: And all that's related

Yesterday for the Memorial Day sale, I went to the mall tryna upgrade my wardrobe cuz of the sale, cuz I was gonna go to Colorado next month. But could not find not ONE piece that I liked. So I want you guys to share your favorite and best sites for quality styles and clothing. I will start it off with some of my favs:

-Mango
-Quince
-Octobre
-Abercrombie & Fitch
-Banana Republic
-Uniqlo (Not my fav cuz their shit pretty basic, but got some good pieces for good prices. Quality clothing as well)
-J. Crew
-Brooks Brothers
-Massimo Dutti
-Zara

Hit and miss with the Quality:

-Lucky
-Gap
-Hollister
-Old navy
-Express
-American Eagle
-Aeropostale

Also, this thread is all things style related. Looks, clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. everything.

Edit: So I changed the name. I had meant your own fashion, but I guess some mighta thought I meant what’s trending now. Fashion could be any era btw. Styles a better word, since we all have our own styles.

  I read the title “Fascia 101: Everything Related” and came running, but… fashion? I am not the most stylish online bear around and have only recently started thinking of clothing as more than “can’t be naked, must fit into something” nuisance.

That said, to actually contribute something here… I second Uniqlo. They are indeed pretty basic but the quality is good for the price. Same for Muji.

Alright. Carry on, you glorious stylish beings!

Uniqlo have incredible prices for what you get. Muji I would rank even higher, very high value for a low price. Plus Muji goes beyond fashion, they have also many other products that are qualitatively high and very affordable. Hollister I liked though not bought much.

Tip for teenagers and young adults (based on my personal opinion):
Don’t wear those ugly, unsexy, oversized, earth tones, 80ies thrift store clothes.
It looks like Grandpa and Grandma from the retirement home.
Totally unsexy and unstylish.
Anything nostalgia = mentally living in the past and makes you visually 30 years older than you are.
Why is this important?
Because living in the past = aging faster.
Or in other words, don’t wear what the Boomers (and Gen X) are wearing because it makes you look like a cringe Boomer. And it puts you into the “past times” mindset.
You are literally connecting to the Boomer egregore by wearing those cloth lmao. The Boomer egregore turns people into shriveled wrinkled dried potatoes lol.

Also, I think fashion itself is not really important.
Feeling comfortable and looking sexy is important.
Everything beyond that is marketing brainwashing by the fashion industry.

Here in Germany, “New Yorker” is the place to go for stylish, cheap and high quality modern clothes.

 This one’s next bro lmfao

You put me on, not sure how I missed them. Thank you bro

Tbh tho, I find many brands pretty basic actually. Even online, I will have to search thru tons and tons of stuff just to find stuff I like. I love textured, mainly neutral tones, contrast collared shirts, layers and love love love patterns like stripes (Horizontal and vertical), houndstooth, gingham and etc. But it be mostly all the same. Hard to find patterned shirts or pants.

Thanks to you too bro for putting me on. I wonder why i never hearda Muji before lol… You know what’s funny? In the 2000’s, I started to wear Hollister alot when they first came out. My ex put me on. Their quality I would say was pretty good back then, close to their parent company Abercrombie. Now I just buy some of their jeans. I love their straight cut jeans. Sadly, one of my fav slim straight cut jeans from them, after some washes became too skinny. So now I just love straight cuts. lol

Lmao I prolly spent over a thousand these last years just getting my clothes tailored. These clothing companies just don’t get the fits right. My ex thought I was crazy cuz I would never wear clothes that didn’t fit my body perfectly. (Not too tight, but not too lose neither. Not wrinkly) Or even if my shoes were a smidge dirty. Not that there’s anything wrong wit that, it’s just not me lol

I can’t lie tho… I had these baggy slacks (all black and one pinstriped) and a pair of baggy chinos from when was younger. And when I say ‘baggy’ they still draped neatly and smoothly over my shoe. And I wore the baggy blue chinos and wore a mandarin collar all white polo (I love mandarin collars, they so sexy. They trump regular collared polos imo) and I felt chic and sexy. I even got alot of compilments when I went out. I only wear clothes for me, but still take notice all the times I had went out and people told me they loved my outfit.

You know what? You point out something that is unique, but also makes sense too. Wow lol

This what I actually meant. I didn’t mean trendy fashion. I meant your own fashion. It’s hard or me to find clothes and styles that I personally like since I don’t resonate with most of the mainstream look, so I need to search hard just to find pieces to add to my capsule wardobe. No offense but I agree wit Celina, the gen z tryna be millenials so bad. Lmao … It’s wild how shit just gets recycled…

A trend that I do like actually, that I never payed any attention too til now… Is the waist level of your pants. I used to wear mid to low rise jeans. But started to get high waisted jeans, and I will tell you what, it really balances your proportions. Low rise on average height people (I am 5’9) can make the legs look short. I still wear other rises as well though. But when I shop I try and find ‘high-rise’ ones. Back then they made fun of them for being mommy jeans or something like that. Now I realized they was really onto something. lol They are harder to find tho if you go wit the usual slimmer fits. I shifted to straights. Those are my fav now. Straights are so perfect. Not too slim, but not too baggy. Just right

Got this for the Abercrombie sale for Colorado, and I love it! :grinning:

You need to come closer to it’s source

I could tell Muji sells quality stuff. Reminds me of the same style as Uniqlo but not one knit or textured button-ups or polo lol… It’s the season for these…Also I can tell their fits are very relaxed so I would have to get them tailored, and their stripe shirts are just okay. Style-wise. No henleys from what I seen. Just crew. I just seen regular collars, and mock collars (I love mandarin collars but not a fan of mock collars lol). And no light wash jeans nor white chinos??? :open_mouth: It’s practically the season for these how could this be? Lol

If only I could. Would love to live there but they won’t ever have me unless my record gets expunged lol

Edit: Oops, I guess I skimmed them too fast on my break. But they do got mandarin collared shirts, but not striped henleys though. Ima have to look thru em again when I got time. Still the fits are super relaxed tho

I really want one of these ‘Fun Shirts’ so bad. I love the way these look. But they always sold out… I would love to layer it wit a wife lover underneath. Open shirt. Wit some white straight jeans/chinos. White belt. Silver watch. Wit some minimalist all white shoes. Or some half white and half baby blue chucks I got. I been lookin for a variation of this shirt but they been sold out all the time. And not many brands have the colors I like smh…

I was gifted gloves from Muji that have fingertip surfacing that allows you to use a smart phone with gloves on

My fave thing about current trends is the wide legged jeans. I was so ready to get rid of skinny jeans and get back into a 90s vibe; so much more comfy!

‘Suit Supply’ is great brand too, but more costly. Best to wait for sales. And they have a variety, not just suits.

These right here so clean. I think these, besides the Jordan 1’s, are the only ones that look good. All the other ones look like space shoes. Can’t believe I used to steal them ugly mf’s. lol. But these the Pure Money Retro 4’s. Beautiful
