Dunno if we scale it down to everyday occurrence. Many people have delusions but that doesn’t make them true. Maybe there is a underlying structure or base functions from which everything comes into being and possible understanding that would solve many issues.
Saying the universe or maybe even existence can’t be understood… what is the point then? Just do nothing I guess lol.
Strangely the delusions are true or true enough for them.
The base already exists and science has been saying it is big bang for the longest time. Complete understanding of universe varies with each civilization. For example take channelled knowledge, if you read different channelled books with teachers from different civilizations, their base structure is almost the same but the specifics are vastly different from one to another.
The point is to live life with the mystery that complete knowledge about universe or god can never be known. Even the great enlightened masters have trouble explaining the workings of the universe, again one master says differently from the next one.
it is probably possible, just not at our level of consciousness. higher entities know, but they only nudge us towards self-realisation. enlightened people of the past and present can get in touch with god but lack the capability or desire to comprehensively explain god to the rest of humanity. perhaps the system is out there, but comes across as vague (non dualism)
perhaps some brain guild people who are also following a spiritual path will be able to build a system that the rest of us newbies can grasp. perhaps it is not necessary
maybe the scientists need to be left to find their way to god, in this life or the next. it’ll happen eventually
Take the highest level of intelligent entities known to humans on this planet, the psychedelics. If you try them and ask them where they are from they themselves are clueless about their origins they give vague answers.
We can never come to an agreement but I’m convinced no matter how much intelligence an entity gets over eons it will never be able to comprehend the complete reality or Source.
This stuck with me from a very young age, when a parent plays hide and seek with his or her child there is a lot of joy in the parent when the child calling the parent tries looking at every corner in the house but unable to find the parent. When the child starts crying the parent comes rushing toward the child.
Similarly the Source delights in knowing its creations across all levels of existence are desperately trying to get back to it and when we can’t play the game anymore and want nothing but to get back to Source it will reveal itself. This is self-realization.

Yeah thats a good way of putting it. i see how the concept of infinite reflects this. The largest number you can possibly conceive is as insignificant as 1 is, when compared to infinity. even if my intelligence multiplied by a factor of 10 tomorrow, it is of no greater value, in the pursuit of god
so i suppose god is reachable, but incomprehensible

Yes indeed.
Science has no issues recognizing that complete knowledge is unattainable. Sort of proven in mathematics. It’s not a roadblock, just a part of the journey. Physics hardly disagrees as well.
