I was going to post this under The requests thread, however, I don’t have enough information on “how” yet.
I’ll start with the goals of the field, and then eventually perhaps come up with ideas about how to accomplish them. Because the goals are a bit complex, the most simplest way I can think of is through repetitive exposure. Fortunately, our dreams at night can serve as an infinite Netflix, so perhaps we could utilize that to get familiar with concepts and so on.
- Karma yoga:
-
- Selfless action, action without attachment, living in the present moment, putting natural abilities to work, following natural inclinations without evaluation.
- Jnana Yoga:
-
- Realization of spiritual laws and concepts, and our relation to them. Mindfulness. Interconnection of everything, true self of others, etc.
- Bhakti Yoga:
-
- Unconditional love for the divine and the creation. Compassion. love, trust, and surrender to the divine will.
- Equanimity of Mind:
-
- Neutrality and impartiality, detachment from desires and aversion, acceptance of everything, unconditional contentment.
- Dhyana Yoga / Stillness:
-
- inner stillness, taking time to be still and have direct experience of the Self.
- Balanced life and self-control:
-
- moderation in eating, sleeping, and recreational activities, mastery over the senses and the mind,
- Faith and dedication to the divine and ascension.
- Realizing the eternal (imperishable) nature of the soul, transcending the false ego, overcoming fear of death.
- … to be continued.
I’ll expand on this further later. Feel free to chip in.
Here are some qualities that would be great to install via the new mind program series.
