Hello @INTP
let me just be nosy here and jump into the debate to remind you a few things:
First of all, as Rosechalice already pointed out, the price of an NFT in this community has always been subjective, but there is also a practical aspect you are overlooking. Caladrius and Firebird were extremely limited editions, whereas the Nestling was released publicly with, if I recall correctly, more than 200 copies available.
That alone changes the entire price dynamic. People here were not only buying for the fieldās attributes but also for resale scarcity. Two hundred copies circulating automatically eliminates the āinvestmentā angle for many, which is why the Nestling will naturally sit at a lower market price regardless of its actual power or potential. That has nothing to do with quality and everything to do with supply.
Second, you yourself used the analogy of a child not having everything its parents have. The issue is that this analogy is being applied too literally.
The Nestling was not designed to carry fifty percent of one and fifty percent of the other.
The description states it clearly:
āthe project takes the core elemental backbone of both archetypes : the fire element of the Firebird and the healing/immortality architecture of Caladriusā.
These are not āsmall partsā; they are the very mechanisms through which the rest of their abilities unfold. If these are the triggers and generators of their larger power sets, then there is no logical basis to asume their offspring could not develop or manifest that same expanded spectrum. In fact, the Nestling has the room to evolve both lines completely and grow its own alchemy from the combination, which you yourself acknowledged once you reconsidered it.
But it is also clear, despite your familiarity with many fields, that you may not yet have a full understanding of how Dreamās alchemy actually works. His hybrids are not simple blends or reductions. They are structured systems designed to evolve, self organize, and build new internal mechanisms, often surpassing the original templates they were inspired by.
Third, if your conclusion was true, then evolution could not exist. Hybrids, successors, and new generations would always be condemned to be āless thanā what came before and that, is not how progress works, not biological, not energetic, not alchemical
Evry generation builds on the previous one. That is the entire point of creation and development.
Fourth, no one expects you to agree with everything or avoid questions. Discussion have always beeen welcomed here, but i think how NicetoKnowYou reacted (and myself, internally lol) was simply the way you worded things.
You presented assumptions as facts, when the reality is that you were not part of the research teams for Caladrius or Firebird (as far as i know, apolgies if you did)
But for sure you were not present in the process of how Dream designed the alchemy for the Nestling. Without that, saying āit is what it isā or framing something as factual comes across as overconfident, especially regarding structures that only Dream himself knows the full internal architecture of.
So no, none of us, including you, can state those assumptions as facts. The only facts available are the project descriptions, the intention behind the alchemy, and the observable results from personal use.
Everything else is speculation.
