Trick to loop fields on really low volume (Android)

We all know that with Android smartphones putting the media play on the lowest volume (one button press above silent) is still way too loud for looping fields with funky music, e.g. when you still wanna loop them during sleep.

I found a trick how one can loop fields on really low volume:

  1. Start playing the field
  2. Activate the volume bars by pressing any volume button
  3. Tap on the three dots to get into the 1st volume menu
  4. In this menu tap on the gear wheel
  5. You should see a menu like this, the 2nd volume menu:

Now in this menu, you can use your finger to toggle the media volume and set it just a few screen pixels above silent.

This only works in this menu, not in the others. In the other menus, using your finger will put the volume at its predefined minimum volume setting.

This way you can loop fields overnight from your smartphone next to your head on such a low volume that your aura and ears will pick it up, but it won’t disturb your sleep silence.

If you’d like it even less than a pixel you can also download the sound assistant app

After having done the above as @JAAJ mentioned, you can go to the sound assistant app and go to individual app settings

From there you can lower the volume bar from 100% to let’s say 25%

So even if the master volume is at 1%… You can still lower that 1% by 75% of it’s whole to .25%

In this same app you can also have it set up so individual apps have seperate audio outputs

So you can have one app play audio on your Bluetooth headphones simultaneously as your mp3 app plays fields from your speakers …
(This is a must for me)

You do this by scrolling down and clicking on “seperate app sound” and clicking which apps you want to play on your phone speaker while you have a Bluetooth headphone paired

For iOS, there’s an app called “Volume Pro”, lets you set volume between 0 and 5% so you can hear it but jussssssst barely.

You can download the app “Sound Assistant” from samsung appstore and then the sound volume for each app.

A little off topic. If you have an Android smartphone, check this section in the developer menu:

In my smartphone, it was like this by default:

Maybe in another smartphone these functions improve the sound quality, but in my case they distorted the fields.

When I turned off the two enabled sliders and turned on the bottom one, the fields became much more lively and brighter:
