Unable to DM people? Why is this?

I’m trying to figure out how to DM people. Either:

1. It’s a button that I can’t find. In which case, could someone please show me where it’s usually placed.

2. My profile isn’t leveled up enough to the point where the server allows me to DM. In which case could someone please let me know the conditions needed to get my profile to trusted enough to DM.

Ahoy hoy,

From now on new users are no longer allowed to send private messages. It will require a level 2 minimum and some engagement with the community. The feature is locked by default until level 2 is reached.

This is meant to step up our fight against the scammer (maybe plural).

Only new users are concerned.

It is one of many steps we’ve taken in accordance with our commitment to destroy the possibility of scams.

Now, the human factor is still our most fragile element. So, check who you are dealing with, check their profiles, how long they’ve been here.

We can fairly easily bring scams down to zero permanently if everyone stays alert.

All that with minimum disturbance to user to user trade.

• Entering at least 20 topics
• Reading at least 100 posts

Definition : A “topic” is a conversation thread (equivalent to a “thread” in other forums). “Entering” means clicking on a topic title to view its content.
