I “got” an exemption over half a year ago. But technically it’s still pending. That’s mostly a matter of bureaucracy. But you could see a whole range of people in the process—some might recognize that the mandates are an overreach and be sympathetic, some might be fully taken by the exaggerated sense of things provided by the news and they’ll be angry that you are “risking the lives of others”, some might not want to mess with you but the procedures put them between a rock and a hard place.
I took the knack of outlining where we stood with the existing laws and posted requirements (since there was technically no legal basis for requiring vaccination) and I initially got shut down and accused of being political. But, things are what they are (and I hate politics). Since I knew this would be an issue at my place of work, I did what I could to maintain a 200% productivity in advance(to hopefully give a reason to keep me on-board, even if there would be a difficulty). Through it all, it still fell down to a bunch of people bowing to the system and “just following orders”. But, fortunately I’m not unemployed.
