Passive listening means just playing it while doing other things? like background music?
Does listening intentionally mean just listening to music without doing anything else?

Yes, listening with focus on the field.

Yeah, pretty much.
And I would recommend u starting the first few listens with meditating on the fields, getting to know and feel them and then direct them with intentions. This may help to create a better momentum for all other times even when u will listen just passively.
