What TV shows do you currently have in rotation? What’s a show you think is a must watch for everyone?
Alright I have watched The Odyssey. Right away I can say is great and I’d recommend it @SammyG . There’s no apparent wokeness in it either. Some people made certain casting choices out to be the end of the world or sth. Totally over the top. So no worries there @JAAJ .
The movie is very long, about 3h. It’s intended to be watched in an IMAX cinema with a specific format, sth like 1,9:1. I haven’t done that, I’ve watched it on a specific LED screen that produces exceptional color and a special sound. Speaking of, whoever did the soundtrack did a great job, it was there but subtle enough not to take away from the storyline, a perfect accentuation.
Can’t remember clearly but last time I found a soundtrack great in a movie was Dune 2. Or usually anime soundtracks.
But anyways that was great and while the movie is near 3h I didn’t mind that at all, it somehow embodied this theme of a long arduous journey.
The pacing overall is still quick despite the overall length, some switching of scenes were quick and some scenes were longer. For instance Oppenheimer was extreme pace, Tenet was more manageable but still fast. So this is somewhere in between.
The cast is ridiculously prominent. I had a feeling it might’ve been better choices but it works.
There were some very cool scenes reminding me of Assassin’s Creed and other games that were well made I thought.
So overall I’d say it was great but somehow not exceptional. Like there was some part still missing to make it fantastic.
Hard to give it a score, maybe around 7,5-8, maybe a 7,8. That feels a bit low though.
Anyways go for it, it might have been cooler to watch in the originally intended aspect ratio so if you can, go for it.

Yeah, I’m deff gonna watch it on Imax when I give it a chance. It’s just always sold out but I know I’ll eventually catch it. I just want a thrilling movie theater experience that blows me away. Last time that happened for me was ‘Interstellar’ many years ago. My fave movie experience of all time. I have some good friends that tell me that this movie delivers a remarkable experience like that one. One of em saw it twice and liked it even more the 2nd time.
Anyways, I’ll give a proper review when I actually watch. Dang though, what a year for movies eh? We also got Dune 3 and Doomsday premiering on the same day!

That m*&#+_f-$+$- (excuse my French) scene where they have to dock back onto a spinning space station… I wasn’t at the edge of my seat, I was actually almost standing up it was so incredible.

I cannot believe how many people are liking that movie lol. For me personally, it is literally complete boring trash, 1 of 10 rating, even without the woke stuff. I should write a proper review from my point of view, and make people wake up lmao.
Inception was 10/10.
Interstellar was 9/10.
Then came Nolan’s downfall with Tenet 5/10, Oppenheimer 3/10, Dunkirk 4/10, and now Odyssey with 1/10.
I am looking forward to Avengers Doomsday, but only because of Robert Downey Jr., since all the other characters (except Doctor Strange) mostly suck.
Captain Ameria, Thor and Spider Man are the worst of the simps lol.
Dune 3 will probably be visually very good, just as the previous ones, with the story and universe in which it plays making zero sense. It is a brain off and watch the effects movie 
Cleopatra with Gal Gadot could be interesting, if it is ever released.
Besides that, overall cinema quality has mostly died in the last 10 years and there is almost nothing in the pipeline to look forward to. Where in the past the average movie was a 5/10, i.e. exactly in the middle of the rating, the average of the last 10 years went down to 3/10… 
On average, the movies have gotten dumber, with worse actors, worse music, worse CGI, worse costumes, worse dialogues, less depth, less emotions, less tension, worse plot twists.
The golden age of movies and shows was between 1989 and 2016 (according to my personal data and statistics).
