My Rating & Light Spoilers

  • CGI worse than in the original from 25 years ago :roll_eyes:

  • Stupid plot with a lot plot holes, soulless characters, useless romance background story, as the viewer I never cared about any of those

  • Roman senate is portrayed as a bunch of compliant idiots

  • Dialogue appears to be partly AI written

  • Historically completely incorrent (trebuchets in Ancient Rome :laughing: etc.)

  • Strong fantasy elements (mutant monkeys, sharks in the Colloseum etc.)

  • My Rating: 3 / 10

Watched this last week, luckily it was still playing in theaters. Props to Demi for playing such a vulnerable role. It’s rare to see any type of horror with much social commentary. I guess this was mostly focused on it. The disgust and gore levels are top notch here, also if one can’t handle the sight of needles, they should probably skip this one :grin:
