Who are your favourite historical figures?

Which historical figures do you find most inspirational, aspirational, or intriguing?

I’m pretty basic. From ancient history, I’m partial to Julius Caesar. From more modern times, I like Alexander Hamilton, and MLK.

I’d be interested in learning about some figures that might not be as well known.

It’s hard to tell.
I’ve focused more on The Rise and Fall of Civilizations, on their Struggles, etc. than on particular individuals.

I admire or rather I’m thankful to Anyone who contributed to the Good or Evolution of Humanity as a Whole, from Scientists, to Jesus Christ (again, quite a few people completely deny his existance nowadays), to the Great explorers, and even Great Conquerors or Rulers.

I think that Great figures like Alexander The Great, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, Napoleon Bonaparte aren’t overrated, since through their lives, they brought Tremendous Change to Europe, Other Areas and those changes spread Worldwide (from Napoleon: metric system, new measures, Better Laws, Abolition or reduction of Many Privileges offered to certain Classes, like the Monarchy and Nobles, Rights of Men/Human Rights, etc.).

Others: Captain Nemo, other Amazing Souls who want to help humanity and also whomever brought the Internet and modern Gaming.

Also/Bonus: I Am Thankful to Anyone who Ever Helped Me Ease my suffering/improve my life.
