Who was the greatest?

Hi,
In an effort to educate myself but also for fun, I would like to ask you Who do you admire ? Who was the greatest ?

Can be logicians, philosophers, wizards, prophets, warriors, biologist or martial artist. Someone who influenced you. People who brought you something, some insights. Someone who introduced some valuable life lessons, someone who wrote a book or discovered anything.
Someone underrated maybe ?
What is your top 10 people ?

I hate this name Iā€™ve chosen lol. I choose it at a time when I thought I was a pretty ridiculous personā€¦ Although I have another account on the forum which I am not using at the moment, I will start using it after a couple more days because I donā€™t want to be in that accounts position in this forum atm.

Well, this is a tough question, since I feel that so many people influenced me, from my parents to random people whose quote(s) I like(d), also everyone who ever helped me with something, anything, I consider to be Great - you have to be Great to do good, so I canā€™t give a top 10 or something along these linesā€¦

Hmm, still:

  1. My family - especially my mother
  2. Jesus Christ (I read so many theories on that man, that I donā€™t even know what to believe anymore, BUT, believing - in a religious sense, is not something that I want or even need anymore, I want to experience Spirituality, My Essence and Lifeā€™s Essence, to know myselfā€¦) - his teachings are marvelous, from him and from my mom I learned as a child what is morality, so the Bible was my first guiding book
  3. My teachers - some of them really encouraged me and helped me as a child
  4. A healer from near the area that I live in, he helped me with great advices and introduced me to the world of subtle energy, chakras, etc.
  5. Some leaders, like Marcus Aurelius, Michael the Brave (Mihai Viteazul), Vlad Țepeș (so called Dracula), some Muslim leaders were great, very tolerant and progressive, yet ambitious, like Suleiman the Magnificent, Mehmet the Conqueror, also Julius Caesar was Extraordinary, I mean just studying his life and his battles, you can see greatness; I really like History, I think that each Era, each Century, Each Location/Place/Country had great leaders or conquerors; history has taught me that an Empire or an idea, a structure or a religion, a vision, etc., doesnā€™t have to fall, it can persevere, sometimes for thousands of years - We can learn Perseverance and many other things from these great leaders
  6. Iā€™m not that great when it comes to Science or Medicine - I consider everyone who brought something for the betterment of human life/health/society to be Great (and/also for improving other species life - animals, plants, etc.)
  7. Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and others - Composers of Classical Music, etc. are truly iconic, I also consider them The Greatest, when it comes to Music
  8. The Creator - The Absolute, The Source, etc. - I have no idea Who that is, but That is Truly The Greatest
  9. Mr. Sapien aka Captain Nemo, A Giant of our time/lifetime/current Era - I am amazed at what this person can do, what knowledge, what power and What a Good Heart/Soul he has - Thank You so much, Sir!
  10. Life - I include here my dog, my cats, my friends, people on/of this forum, they/you are Great, also Life teaches you all the lessons you Need!

Bonus: Actors are Great as well, they can entertain us and help us through their art/craft/roles - Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Leonardo di Caprio, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Hopkins, Jack Nicholson, Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, Keira Knightley, Mel Gibson, Helena Bonham Carter, Salman Khan, etc.

Another Bonus: Myself (Be the change that you want to see in the world - to quote GANDHI - HE WAS GREAT; be inspired, be an inspiration, including to yourself), I always believed or at least wanted to believe that there is more, there is more about me that I need to discover, to learn, I learned that I can change - for the better, I learned that I can do good and I learned that I have so much power, we all have!
Well, I donā€™t consider myself the greatest, at anything actually, BUT I consider myself Great, a Great Soul, racing through Life (also many of these are just conventions, who or what is Great depends on our point of view, on our experiences, likes, dislikes, etc. - also, if we are Spirit, itā€™s all Temporary anyway, so, ENJOY THE RIDE, MY FRIENDS, We are All GREAT)!

I admire many. I admire them through their essense and my feeling towards them. Some i wont say because they are hidden deep in my heart but who i can say is

Tupac Shakur - He got me through a lot with his music and still is. That sort of bravado through pain. That sort of pick your swords up even when wounded. Ever since i listened to him, i got through a lot. I resonate with tragedy and he resonated a lot with battling tragedy with success.

I admire many though just saying one that i can say quite easily without thinking much lol

Atm it would be Captain because of his heart. His expression and mystic blaze. He doesnā€™t say it all because he watches his works talk. He is a great. Humble and genius. A troll like me but also a wonderful soul. He will be remembered for a VERY long time too.

Who is the greatest?

If it were to be people that have had a strong impact on my lifeā€”leaving a deep impression in the energetics of what I do, then I would have an eclectic grouping of names. ā€”I never had much consideration for past lives or the idea of a home outside of what you can find in this lifetime. But there have been different resonances Iā€™ve felt with specific people and I believe I understand what some people were trying to say when they talked about ā€œbeing from the same starā€. Some would be singers, some spiritual teachers, actors, philosophers/thinkers, etc.

ā€“If I were to make a list using that idea as the basis, I think the list would be too personal.

But, for underrated people that I think are cool:
William Pepperell Montague ā€”a sort of panpsychist-materialist philosopher (and probably the only philosopher Iā€™ve read who has followed a train of thought very similar to my own).

Stefan Marinov, J.P. Wesley, and Franco Selleri ā€”Three dissident physicists who took quite a bit of backlash for opposing Relativity (since it is not technically an empirical science).

Thomas Phipps and Jorge Cespedes-Cure two other thinkers (a physicist and mathematician) who put significant efforts into studying electromagnetism. They found that some elements of electricity canā€™t fit into the standard paradigm that is taught in current schools (i.e. some electromagnetic wave phenomena found in the works of Heinrich Hertz donā€™t work in a Maxwellian/ Special Relativistic framework.

Thomas Gold --A researcher/author who pursued Soviet research about possible Abiotic origins for oil (i.e. origins not limited to living thingsā€”as thought with ā€œfossil fuelsā€).

S. Warren Carey --A relatively unknown name today, but somewhat famous in special groups since he published a university text about expansionist tectonics (i.e. the expanding earth theory).

Hans Driesch --practically the original ā€œvitalistā€ in the previous centuryā€™s take on Biology. He had written works about a vital principle that animates living things and he looked at biology (in general) from the perspective that a vital substance sets living things apart from the inanimate world.

Ray Fleming --a critic of particle physics who suggests a view where the particles of the standard model donā€™t necessarily exist on their own but are (instead) descriptions of interactions between the well-known proton, neutron and electron.

Louis Kervran --known for his work on ā€œbiological transmutationsā€ --that some reactions can take place within the body which involve the displacement of nucleons (i.e. controlled nuclear reactions in the body).

Basically, I like the oddballs and the weirdos. People with a good level of common sense and enough strength of will to not be swayed by the masses. They let reason guide them, even though biases may sway them in different ways. Even if they might be wrong on some points, they have interesting ideas and it gives me an expanded view of the world. --Getting things straight from mainstream academia tends to suck the life out of things and gives a deadened image of the world.

I always admired Lyoto Machida when he was in his prime as a UFC fighter. To me, he was the true embodiment of a martial artist. Cerebral, relaxed, yet intensely focused, and a sniper with his punches and kicks. ā€œThe Dragonā€:pray: Always respectful to his opponents too, all around class act. For any of you UFC fans out there

I admire Nikola Tesla. I read that he had imagination soo concrete, that he could build his inventions in his mind. I also wanted that ability to build machines inside my head.

That somehow lead me to reading about hermetics. I read ā€˜initiation into hermeticsā€™ by Franz Bardon and he introduced the whole concept of energy and other occult sciences , along with an exercise to improve the imagination and a load of other goodies as well.Needless to say I have not been the same since, that was also one of the reasons I found sapien med.

Lastly I admire Captainā€™s work ethic, his alchemy is off the charts no doubt it, but the way he works non stop, has really inspired me to be more like the dude.
