Yeah, I do Not agree with @JAAJ on this one either.
God, a word we use to denote The Ultimate Reality/Being/Truth, since there are countless views on what or who God is, is Everywhere, on All Levels, and within All of Us, Not Separate - although there are different levels of The Supreme, many of which we don’t have access to, at least with conventional methods (although I personally think that we can never understand The Absolute, maybe experience a drop of its Love, Omnipotence, Glory, be in union with It/Him/Her, but not truly access All of God, in our current bodies anyway, since we are limited), also there are countless Deities and perhaps JAAJ meant that type/aspect of God, which is indeed somewhat/kind of detached (at least from our perspective and knowledge).
Also, since there are unlimited/limitless/infinite ways to perceive and to know God/The Infinite/The Limitless, I don’t know if anyone is actually wrong in their views.
As You mentioned Brahman and Ishvar(a), I gotta say that I Truly Love The Way Hinduism Portrays God, literally offering Everyone different views and paths towards The Supreme.
