Your Three Superpowers

Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Maya who lived in a bustling city filled with noise and stress. Maya worked long hours in a demanding job and often found herself overwhelmed by the fast pace of life. She rarely took a moment to appreciate the small joys around her.

One day, Maya’s friend introduced her to the concept of mindfulness during a yoga class. At first, Maya was skeptical. Sitting still and focusing on her breath seemed like a waste of time when she had so much to do. But as she continued to practice mindfulness, she began to notice subtle changes in her outlook.

As Maya became more mindful, she started to pay attention to the little things she had previously overlooked—the warmth of the sun on her face, the sound of laughter in the park, the vibrant colors of flowers blooming in the spring. She realized that amidst the chaos of life, there was beauty all around her waiting to be appreciated.

Gratitude soon followed. Maya started keeping a gratitude journal, where she would write down three things she was thankful for each day. At first, it was difficult to find things to write about, but soon Maya discovered that even on her hardest days, there was always something to be grateful for—a kind word from a coworker, a delicious meal shared with friends, a stunning sunset painting the sky.

But perhaps the most transformative lesson for Maya was learning to find humor in life’s challenges. Instead of getting frustrated when things didn’t go as planned, she learned to laugh at herself and the absurdity of the situation. Whether it was getting caught in the rain without an umbrella or spilling coffee on her favorite shirt, Maya embraced life’s imperfections with a smile.

Over time, Maya realized that gratitude, mindfulness, and humor were not just practices but ways of living. They helped her navigate the ups and downs of life with grace and resilience. And as she shared her newfound wisdom with others, Maya became a beacon of light in her community, inspiring those around her to embrace the beauty of the present moment and find joy in the simplest of things.

And so, Maya’s journey taught her that true happiness comes not from the pursuit of perfection, but from the ability to find peace and contentment in the here and now.

The three superpowers we all hold within us. The beauty about it is you can choose to apply them consciously. Or not. Its always up to you.

Mindfulness
In anything you do, any moment, any movement, any activity, any breath - you can apply mindfulness onto it - INTO it, rather. Its as if you give everything more meaning. You intensify and saturate all life experiences with it. If you are trying it for the first time, it might be a bit difficult, due to all the distractions in life. Once you master it, you can actually engage in “distracting” activities, and feel great afterwards. Mindfulness is a way of life; it is a graceful and ever-gentle focus on a present moment. It will help you in bringing out more of the beauty of life. Apply it today, its free ;) Also try this:

Gratitude
Across all industry leaders and accomplished individuals, you will find they all have a deep sense of gratitude in common. When you are genuinely grateful for something or someone, you give them and yourself one of the greatest gifts in the universe. Sincere gratitude might even irritate a completely ungrateful person, exhibiting its power. Being grateful is a way of life, a life in which you can expect great things to happen, as you wish great things upon others. It is as simple as it is beautiful all at the same time. Apply it and reap the rewards that will inevitably appear in your life. Also, try this:

Or this:

Humour
I vividly remember a moment as a teenager: I was with my best friends at home. I don’t quite recall what joke was told; I don’t think it was all that funny. But one of my friends found it so silly, he was laughing like there was no tomorrow. He was laughing so hard, his belly started aching and he couldn’t breathe. And we all joined in  We had no other choice…

Humour is one of the great antidotes to, well, any negativity really. When you laugh from the belly, you release so much tension. It clears and overrides old energies. It feels as if it strengthens the immune system. With a sense of humour, life becomes beautiful - like a playground. Laughter is addictive, you will infect the people around you with this beauty. As you can see, these three superpowers are available to you at all times. It is a win-win for yourself and the world. Try it out, see how you feel.

And come back with a smile

Thank you

Let life be beautiful
