That sounds great, bro!! Of course, too much is never good… I rather want to know about muscle development, definition, strength etc. As far as you can tell, It sounds very nice to me!!!
Does muscle beyond limits and St Biceps make you more hungry than usual, my friend?
Not much results here, will keep using
What’s your workout routine?
For me this field in “on hold” now as I have other priorities (and I find this one to be intense), but there was a quick increase in strength while I was using it and noticeable results :)
That’s the weird part, neither of them made me hungrier, I think it’s cause I normally eat nutrient dense foods anyways so my body already is getting what it needs to keep up
PPL, Eating alot
Are you pretty strong and buff already? Maybe you are already getting close to your natural limit and body is increasing myostatin to maintain homeostasis
nah Just skinny lean rn
What’s your workout routine?
Heavyweights? (4-6 reps)
I think the problem is that I haven’t been doing too much intensity and just more volume (8-12 reps) but Ive been only at the gym for like a week(so the bros been putting less weight for me so I can get the form right) and eating alot so i didnt really expect anything, Also in a terrible mind state lately so thats a -
What’s this face lol
Getting the form right is key, take before pictures, just do the routine and give it ~6 weeks
I have been using this field for a week with very very light weight due to past injuries, but I am fatiguing the muscle during exercise by doing higher reps. My strength has increased by a lot. It is as if I am working out with much bigger weights. Even getting on the stationary bike and doing cardio seems to make my legs look bigger. This field also seems to make me lose fat. I use it 3x a day on workout days.
I worked out since last year and I fell in love but I never really did the actual gym grind but now I am
You may have just revealed something to yourself right there. If you’re viewing this as a “grind” it’s naturally going to be harder to stay consistent. It’s never been a grind for me. Better to focus on all of the positives you’re getting by going and train your mind to go there automatically when you think of the gym.
Pick the brain of guys like Zen and SaintBiceps. Find out their “whys.” You’ll probably find some new reasons to go that you’ve never thought of before. Stack up these reasons and you’ll find yourself enjoying the process much, much more
Thank you for bring this up, when I started the gym it was at first to gain confidence in myself. Later it stopped about being confident and just enjoying the mental, physical and emotional struggle of it all.
Now whenever I meet someone new or someone makes a comment they automatically assume I’ve been playing g sports all my life, and are shocked when I tell them I’ve never done any sports. I’ve gotten “Are you a boxer?” “You play football?” “How long you’ve been running” and I laugh because it was just my love and dedication for the gym that has allowed me to turn my body to that of an athletic individual.
Yesterday I ran a 5:24 mile in 93°F, having shaved off 20 seconds from the last time we ran together (2 weeks prior) a couple of the members got intrigued by my performance and questioned how long I’ve been running. They couldn’t believe when I said I’ve never ran before or done any sports. Explained it was all just the gym 6 times a week (said that so proud cause i mean it’s my baby )
I’ll give you a few reasons off the top my head why I love the gym.
I love pushing my body past its normal limits
The endorphin release on those last few reps is incredible
There’s a mental aspect of breaking through barriers that carries over to all aspects of your life
When you’re physically fit, you’re sharper mentally and more confident
Your clothes fit you phenomenally. You enjoy picking out clothes because you know you’re going to look good. You can wear certain types of outfits that you couldn’t before.
Others will look at you differently. It’s a basic fact. Your fitness represents a level of dedication and discipline that’s on display without you having to utter a single word to anyone.
It’s great being able to lift heavy stuff like it’s nothing. Its also nice being able to lift a girl straight up in the air like it’s nothing. They kinda like that too
You can eat more of what you want (if you choose) with little to no consequence. The body just works better overall.
You can become a source of inspiration for others in your life
The gym can be a form of meditation. It works wonders for relieving the stress of the day, or the stress of life. It can be like a second home, a place where you can just let things out. It brings your mind back into focus on the things you want. The energy in your body stays in a flow state instead of getting stuck.
You’ll meet new people and probably make new friends. Sometimes knowing that certain people will be at the gym when you go is enough to motivate you. That one is up to you. Some people prefer just sticking to themselves. You get to do what you want.
Oh yeah- you can play your fields the entire time you’re at the gym as well. You get to kill two birds with one stone.
I’m probably going to remember some other reasons for going after posting this, but these a just a few that came off the top of my head. Use whatever works for you and throw out the rest
I’d add on but Zen & SoSeckSee said it perfectly,
Going to gym isn’t just about getting big and looking good, it’s a way of life that teaches you the fundamentals of how to succeed every other aspect of life
Working out for me is to embrace the raw, primal and organised power within me. Sometimes pushing that force in you brings a zen feeling. That creative/mars force always desires to create but our mind gets in the way. Working out is a beautiful motivation to change your mindset. Anyone that wants to train, don’t think - just do something whether its just walking or even doing crazy animalistic workout. Do it
Really looking forward to getting out of my parents’ house and experiencing the life of a gym rat
I wonder what those other things are?
