Take a deep breath in, filling your lungs completely. Exhale slowly, letting go of any tension or stress.
Now, bring your attention to your body. Start at the top of your head and slowly notice any areas of tension or discomfort. As you find these areas, imagine a warm, soothing light touching them, releasing the tension and bringing relaxation.
Move down to your forehead, relaxing the muscles there. Let your eyes rest gently, unfurrow your brow. Allow your jaw to unclench, letting go of any tightness.
Continue down to your neck and shoulders. Feel the weight of your shoulders gently falling away as you release any tension held there.
Move to your arms, feeling them grow heavy and relaxed. Let this sensation travel down to your hands and fingers, releasing any remaining stress.
Bring your focus to your chest and abdomen. With each breath, feel these areas expand with calm and contract, releasing any negativity.
Finally, move down to your legs, letting them sink into the ground or bed beneath you. Feel your feet and toes relax completely.
Imagine yourself in a place where you feel completely at ease. It could be a serene beach, a quiet forest, or a cozy room. Picture this place vividly in your mind. Notice the colours, the sounds, the smells. Feel the tranquillity of this place wrapping around you like a warm blanket.
In this peaceful place, imagine a soft, golden light shining above you. This light is filled with calm and peace. As it gently descends, it touches the top of your head and slowly moves down your body. Feel this light absorbing any anxiety or stress, dissolving it away.
Repeat the following affirmations silently or out loud, letting each one resonate deeply within you:
I am safe and in control.
I release all my worries and fears.
I am surrounded by calm and peace.
I trust myself to handle whatever comes my way.
I am grounded and centered.
Take a deep breath in, hold it for a moment, and then exhale fully, feeling refreshed and at peace. Remember, this place of calm and relaxation is always within you, ready to be accessed whenever you need it.
