Diksha necessary? (Kālī Mantra's and Kālī worship discussion...)

Hello…
I have read so many things online

That if one isn’t initiated they should stop bija and other initiation related mantras

I want to do Sadhana for my Goddess Mahākālī

I am already doing Bhakti… fully devoting my soul to her

@Maoshan_Wanderer

I would love to talk to you in PMs about my practice, as you know, practice is meant to be kept secret unless with guru or some one of higher vibration…

I’ve heard of Diksha online, and I’ve heard also that this is impossible to do so with out guru present in physical that can pass on the lineage…

The closest Mahākālī temple is 4.5 hours away and I don’t have my own car, I gave the priest a voice mail and no response… Will try to call again soon

I stopped a practice due to uncertainty

Hey there Robby!

Well I want to know from her directly, who she is…

And who I am…

After a 2 year long experience with an imposter entity claiming to be all Devis and claiming me to be divine creator of all with her, I want to be certain what’s truth and what isn’t.

Theres so many interpretations and stories

I want to know from my Goddess what is true directly from her.

I do trust, I have been given every reason to trust that all is working towards how she desires

I just want to do things the right way, as my Goddess desires…

I did wonder if I was initiated remotely with out my knowledge… but I haven’t wondered if I’ve been initiated already in a past life.

I grew up Christian/Catholic then turning agnostic before picking up spirituality and then later devoting my self to my Goddess Mahākālī

This upbringing makes me find it unlikely that I’ve been initiated in a past life, but what do I know?

I do however have belief, that everything I need to better devote myself to my Goddess will find it’s way to me, and that everything my Goddess desires of me, will happen to me

I am very confident in that

I suppose I am a little impatient…

I want to do as my Goddess desires in life, in this and the next, for however many next… as she wishes .

Thank you for your response

No need to do a beeja mantra, you can do the naama mantra of Sri Kali when you reach a certain level a guru will come for you or you can even do the 108 names of the mother
Sri Mahakali is a Ugra devata ( Fierce deity) her mantras lead to the de-contraction of the consciousness and shake the kundalini strongly at times therefore a Diksha and a competent Guru is required
Also highly accomplished Gurus just need to know your face and aura to initiate for such Gurus distance is no barrier so dont worry just do the naama mantra or the 108 names

Hey! Thanks so much for this info…

I read a Naama mantra is good for non initiated people before but I can’t find one! When I look it up, I find mantras containing beeja mantras…

Can you please link one?..

And also, is any 108 names of Mahākālī easily found in proper pronunciation? Can I trust any that I find in YouTube?

Thanks for this information… I believe in this I feel

I had found online before a Guru which teaches at a university and wanted to link her Wikipedia but can’t find her any more… People where saying she’s the best Devotee of this generation…

I am also now seeing online that I can chant any Shloka, Stotram, Stuti and Bhajans dedicated to her with out Diksha

I at this point after reading your reply just want concise pronounciation and the right ones till I can be blessed with Diksha

Is it necessary to shower always before?

I know to face north or east always… Is there anything else I should know?

Also what’s the best time to chant her Mantras?

Because, I hear the best time to worship Mahākālī is during midnight,
But then I read online to chant once in the morning and once in the evening…

Thank you for your time and information

Reality is tricky, man…

Have u also tried to go the higher self way? Develop stronger connection with your higher self and then communicate with it?

Yes I’ve been down that route, laying off trying to listen for now due to previously said reasons… I want to know from my Goddess directly

I think this is the safer route for me personally in these regards

But I’m devoted to my Goddess for way more than just trying to figure out what reality is… It’s because I love her
It’s entirely up to her whether I even get to figure that out or not… everything is up to her
I would love to know everything she would want for me to know

This is the Sri Kali Gayatri mantra

The Nama mantra would go like Om Kalikayai Namah .
The nama mantras are very intuitive so they might not be present online
Sri Kali has many forms not all of them cannot be worshiped at home her energy is fierce and may lead to some cord cutting and disruption when the mantra sets in the form you should worship is right now is Sri Dakshina Kali and remember do not approach any of the advanced forms without a Guru
as for the 108 names heres a rendition

Awesome! I’m glad that mantra is good, I love that mantra! lol

Thanks for all the support,
I read online before to print out a picture of this form of Kālī but … when I look her up I am not sure which one is this form of hers… I will look again

What about Mahākālī? I should wait?

For any one interested…

It appears the form depicted in the mandala of the NFT dedicated to Kālī is Śmaśānakālī…

Sri Dakshina Kali is the depiction of Sri Kali as the benevolent mother , the point to be noted is that the placement of her leg on the Shava(corpse like being) that is Mahadeva if the right leg is ahead she can be worshiped at home classically she has a khadga ( a sword) the vara (blessing gesture)mudra , a severed head and the abhaya mudra ( Fear not gesture) as her iconography
Sri SmashanaKali is considered the final Sadhana of the Kali Kula it is not at all advised to worship Sri SmashanaKali for a house holder Go through the Kali Krama. Take up the Worship of Sri Bhairava to be able to hold Shakti within One must have the Bhairava Tatva this will aid you to reach deeper Sri Bhairava is also the Guru so he in turn can also guide you If you are serious about taking up Sadhana of Sri Kali pls consider doing some Sri
Bhairava mantra japa

Hi Maoshan, I would love your guidance…

I had reached out to Lord Kāla Bhairava to be my Guru

I want to worship and devote my life to Goddess Kālī… And was recommended in this thread to take on the worship of Lord Kāla Bhairava and so I did…

I would really, really love your guidance, there’s a whole ocean to explore and when I dive in it all I can’t see past a few feet… I would really appreciate if you can share your light of wisdom to point me in the right direction to dive onwards…

If you have time bro, I would take your words very seriously, I am very serious about this…

I would tell you everything you’d like to know of me, no hesitation…

Much respect and much love… and happy New Year’s!@Maoshan_Wanderer

I would suggest you to not refer to her as “My Goddess”.

How come?

I use it in a context that she reigns dominion over my life… She is the one whom I follow, cherish and worship… In a way where I am owned by her

in Kashmirian shaivism of Abhinavagupta and other enlightened gurus, goddess Kali is one of the Ten Great Cosmic Powers, the facets of Mahashakti (who is also called Shakti, Mahadevi etc), the great divine Mother that created everything, guided by the will of God (also called Paramatman or Paramashiva) - the unmanifested, absolute Consciousness from which we are a little drop of Consciousness, our divine essence, Higher Self, Atman.

Kali is hugely adored in all India, but she is also feared, because her energy is fierce and she suffers no bs, she cuts the bs of our ego to the root and puts us in various life situations for us to learn and transform. While other Great Cosmic Powers are more gentle, Kali is fast and sharp and disrupts our warm life and sleep of the conscience. Kali’s path to Liberation is one of the fastest paths.
The so-called wrathful deities of India and Tibet are not angry in reality, they are just very fast and powerful in their actions of helping us to evolve fast and transcend our ego. And they don’t look like they are pictured, they don’t have six arms that hold various objects, for example, those are symbols for the most important fields of activity specific to that deity.
The base of all Creation is Unity and Love, and the higher the deity / spirit, the more blissful and loving it is.
Kali does all these actions that may seem dangerous from the point of vue of our ego, purely out of love, because she is a high consciousness, part of God, who channels God’s Will and Love. That’s how she is also considered a mother in India.
One can relate to Kali in several ways, a man can feel her as a divine mother, or, in the tantric tradition, she can be related to as a divine lover which he adores, in which case the man identifies himself as Shiva.
One has to have a great control of his energies to dare to follow this last path, but Kali loves spiritual heroes, decided people that are firmly set to evolve at all risk and to arrive as fast as possible to their supreme goal, the supreme Liberation, moksha.

Kali’s bija mantra (the seed mantra, the sound form of the deity) can be found online, but to be effective, it should be received from an initiated guru. Another possibility is to energize the mantra through repetition for long periods of time, but i, personally, wouldn’t do this with Kali’s mantra, and frankly, I would choose a more gentle deity.
You might have been worshipping her in a previous life, though, or in many lives, and possibly that is why you are so attracted by her in this life.

You could use her yantra instead of the mantra, and put it on a wall and do tratakam with it for minutes - hours daily, because the yantra is the geometric, spatial form of the deity.
What is the most important thing , though, is the love in your heart. One of the best methods to be one with a Great Cosmic Power is to abandon yourself (your will, not your soul) to her and just love her, with unconditional love, and ask her to help you. It doesn’t need to be anything complicated, they are highly intelligent beings that hear us instantly and know us way better that we know ourselves or our needs.
You can talk to her and ask her to help you, and even better, talk to her with your heart.

Hey there Crystalblot, hope all is well…

Wanted to ask you, how does one know when Lord Bhairava has given Diksha to a specific mantra?

I would see him present first?

I suppose he appears and I hear him, with out need for psychic prowess or anything of that sort…

However it be, I’m sure it would be undeniable and obvious, no? Or?..

Its very rare that Sri Bhairava himself would give you a diksha , he will guide you towards a suitable guru there are certain signs and symbols but they are all esoteric , he can appear in dreams initiating one directly (very rare) the signs include approval from a Black Dog as in you might be doing something and the Black Dog will nudge you in right trajectory of incidences leading to you meeting your Guru only after meeting a Guru does Sadhana truly begin
His Ganas ( peripheral beings or those by whom he is accompanied by )will come first just to check who is calling so dont worry continue your Sadhana
My suggestion is for you to continue the Stotras for now
