Well, I haven’t visited this place of my consciousness in a while. (The place occupied by the part of me which was interested in sigils)
Having revisited it now (which, thank you for that by the way), with the realizations I made since the time I was mentally in that space, I understand sigils better now.
I’m only sharing because you seem genuinely interested, which means you’re more likely to understand, and explore.
Sigil creation is in of itself a morphic field.
Much like cutting wood or being in a highly competitive environment raises a man’s testosterone, the process of creating a sigil connects you to a field of consciousness tied to a massive collective of potent Magi.
Power will move you, and through you, and the more you interact with the process, the more power you will gather.
If you use sigils with the intention to elevate your awareness and consciousness, all the better.
The most important part or the sigil’s creation is the charging, of course.
The book by P. Cooper has a very nice meditation/visualization which attunes you to the consciousness of a skilled mage.
Material things have their merits, but the ultimate goal is to manifest your own liberation/moksha.
Create sigils to meditate better, to visualize better, to connect better to your higher self.
It’s not easy to maintain a level if you don’t forge the path on your own.
Captain’s fields take us to very high levels, but most don’t really know how to keep themselves there, or close to such levels, and end up falling flat on their faces, harder and harder each time.
A sigil can take you one step further up the ladder, so using it as a complementary tool to constantly grow and expand is never a bad idea.
There is no picture that can encompass a higher consciousness being, or a higher dimensional concept. My own experience is that many would gladly occupy a sigil they guide you to create.
A sigil can be a bridge, a portal, a door, a source of power … it is ultimately just giving clay from the mental/emotional plane a caste shape in the 3D. What you use it for, and how you use it, is up to you, your level of consciousness and awareness, and your creativity.
