TL;DR – A real blessing for anybody who has been plagued by sleep problems. Does everything it says it does and more. Mega-gratitude to the Cap’n for this gift!
Night One Review
For context: I’ve occasionally suffered from insomnia like tendencies – occasionally inspired by or amplified by marathon brain wiring sessions. If I’m not in a ‘sleep window’, I might as well just give up. Naturally, I only get ‘sleep windows’ at the least convenient times – like in the middle of dinner.
The ‘put you to sleep’ functionality is swift, effective and not overwhelming. Faster than the Emergency Psychologist but also less… ‘drifty’, if that makes sense. There were several big yawns and I felt ‘pulled’ down into sleep.
Sleep quality was incredible. Deep, comfortable, but not ‘sticky’. If you’ve ever used an over the counter sleep aid, you know what I mean. I had to wake up in the middle of the night, but didn’t feel groggy or uncertain or vaguely hallucinatory. I just took care of what I needed to and went right back to sleep, no big deal.
But the coolest part was the dreams. This was peak dreaming. I’m sure I slipped into ‘deep’ sleep at some point, but I had hours and hours and hours of incredible, vivid, remembered dreams. They varied in their lucidity, but some were absolutely lucid. Deep with symbolism and metaphor, full of fun and wonder. No nightmares here!
Automatic Wakeup? Yes, it definitely worked. I asked for a 7AM wake up and I woke up at 6:58AM. I was wide awake, alert and not even the least bit groggy. I could’ve rolled out of bed right then and there, but…
I asked my friend to put me back to sleep so I could dream a little while longer!
