Oh my goodness. I didn’t know this thread existed… What an attack on myself (as if I were a pokémon).

This is my happy thread, for sure.

(These pieces of Heaven/Valhalla/Limbo/Paradise/Nirvana agree):

Hey Guys if you’re going to make soda bread tomorrow and you can’t find buttermilk, here’s a cool chart to make it yourself

Both recipes came out sooo amazing. Major difference this time: I found organic non gmo powdered sugar for the frosting (I know, I know it’s funny because it’s still sugar)

I’m not talking about health benefits here haha I know sugar isn’t to be had every day but the taste difference was unreal. Usually powdered sugar contains corn starch here in the US and it’s really
Unavoidable unless you get organic. I got organic this time and the taste in the frosting is really night and day. I’m never going back even for like, dusting something.

It’s a vegetarian and healthy preparation
Just for fun I got this TikTok trend duck rice mold. Made steamed rice into shape of these duckies and cooked chickpea in spinach cashew gravy for these to swim on. :joy::joy:

Great spring side, brussels sprouts, olive oil and a little salt. Bake for 30-45m at 400F. Perfect

So today is my husbands day to shine I made the chocolate chips I always make and he is making bistro burgers with Mornay sauce because we just got back from Champagne, France for our anniversary and boy did we get inspired.

He’s also making hand cut fries with local bacon, duck fat and rosemary.

It’ll be an egg white and salad fest soon but not todayyy

So I’ve been too chatty with this and can’t post again until there’s a reply so I think I’ll just add some pics of what’s been cooking lately:

Attempting baguettes…
