Try this challenge:
Take two (or more) ingredients that are sure not to combine well and turn that into a pristine new recipe. Because this inevitably leads to improvisation in the kitchen.
Another challenge is to go to for instance an Asian supermarket, and doing the same with the ingredients there. Particularly the herbs and spices; sauces, etc.
Also things like star anise, bay leaves are underrated imo

I think this is one of the best eating pleasures actually… Dip a slice of buttered whole grain bread into a thick soup. There’s just sth about it that’s perfect…
btw, it’s cheese-filled torteloni with spring onion in a curry-mango sauce with a sprinkle of nutmeg to top it all off
Ah…Easter week
Well in between all the food makeovering I’ve been doing with the flax and the berries and what not, made some time for Easter debauchery
This is the customary rice pie, I make anywhere from 4-9 of them every year and they contain rice, ricotta, lemon rind, sugar, vanilla, a little salt- and then there’s the pie crust. They’re sort of like a more robust rice pudding, baked
After Easter I made this root veggie medley with tons of thyme and tons of garlic
