I’m not suggesting to anyone what they do or not do with their NFTs.
There are potentially lots of questions, concerns, along with varied systems/structures, which a person would find agreeable or disagreeable. Areas like intentions, ease, convenience, security. I’ve thought about a few different designs depending on purpose, function, audience and feasibility.
But to answer what you wrote directly.
A Sapien Medicine place - what word best fits that function isn’t established: e.g. library, second hand shop, gallery, …
There are different interactions that a person may like to do. Let’s use three categories:
-
Person with an NFT, moves it → to SM place
Sample interactions by person:
Sell, Lend, Trade, Deposit, Donate…
-
SM Place with NFT, moves it → Active Forum member
Sample interactions by SM Place:
Sell, Trade, Lend (time frame could vary distinctively, e.g. 30 mins, a few weeks, a month)
-
Active forum member interested in an NFT → SM Place
Sample interactions by Active Forum member:
Buy, Borrow, Trade, Inquire, (Gallery view; short time frame lending)
There are no true guarantees for anything. But guarantees can be set, risks mitigated, security heightened, and consequences determined. Let’s walk through some interactions:
Selling/Buying/Giving/Donation -
This already happens in the community. But if someone wants to sell/buy, they need to find a person interested in the exchanged offer. They may also need to check the thread often. This could be inconvenient and take time without any guarantee of a sale, or if the NFT is interacted with in as intended, e.g. “a good home, treat him well, enjoy…” If someone receives an NFT, they may not really know how to interact with or value it. Or it could be very different what they are truly aligning with. Hence it sits around or is placed back on the buy/sell thread.
Deposit - As in a depository, e.g. cold storage/hardware for NFTs.
Lend - if this occurs, the agreement is that an NFT is moved between parties with conditions. If a person breaks a condition, e.g. “run off with it,” what might be some of the consequences? How would that person be viewed in this forum?
There would of course be conditions if such a case happened. For the person who lent and lost their copy of the NFT, what guarantee would have been agreed upon if such a case occured: be a given a different copy? a monetary value as if it had been sold? What would be agreeable to have first lent the NFT?
Personally, my view is to trust the active community members here, with the belief that if there is an agreement to lend/borrow within a certain time frame, then the NFT will be returned within that time frame.
Sapien Medicine NFTs can be viewed in several different ways. Besides a system of categories like deities, tools, enhancements, health, NFTs could each be viewed as a product, service, companion, guide, or simply an experience.
Some people may be buy an NFT to own it, to have it as a value. Another may buy as a part of their “personal growth, journey,” which can be let go of once that part ends. Another may simply buy for the momentary experience, like traveling to a destination or going to the theater.
As stated before in a previous post, my personal benefit is more along the lines of experience, with being a source to align members with what/how an NFT may be of interest to them.
Looking at the future, if Sapien Medicine continues to grow, there will potentially be new issues. Having some structure or organization that has a base in preparing to respond, could be helpful. Here that would be NFT related.
