Yes, but focusing on the core (1st dantian) allows the overflowing energy to travel up, it’s how many teachers taught students to do. If one focuses on the higher storage points and is not ready could backfire.
(Or so I’ve read…)
I’m not too knowledgeable of these things but that’s the pattern I seem to have picked up.

Soul Restoration (brow) is the upmost point.
