Project HPGE

Done - Thanks @Powren

Never said anything about it but the reason I deleted the original doc link is because I spent hours researching the genes to put in it by myself. (The NFTs were supposed to be group collaborations but in my experience everyone just joined the ā€œgroupā€ so they can scalp the NFT and sell it for a higher price on the forum) (something that a lot of people do here btw lol) I felt there was no point in keeping it up after seeing all the research I did by myself start popping up in descriptions of other NFTs, (not to my agreement) sometimes even verbatim lol. So anyways I just felt it was dumb to keep hours of research that I did up because most people either copied it and used it in their NFTs or the ā€œcollaborationā€ was there so people can get the project and sell it for way higher prices for their own financial gain instead of using these NFTs as a way to help themselves or others. Sapien medicine probably thought the same thing which is why he closed out the NFTs and i don’t blame him one bit, what he saw as an opportunity to help people with real problems, his ā€œcommunityā€ saw as an opportunity to gain things off of others work whether it be through joining a project and non contributing just to get access to the NFT or just to scalp and sell it for high prices. This is gonna be controversial but honestly looking back I don’t even blame that dude who leaked the skyscraper audio and it’s not sapien medicines fault or anyone on his team is the communities fault.

The core problem of your doing is the principle of collective guilt.

A few ppl angered u so now u wanna make it worse for everyone. A few ppl here, even 10-30 of them angered me throughout the history in various ways - even much much worse, so now should I show a middle finger to everyone on the forum bcs of them?

What I’m doing with NFT descriptions will benefit almost everyone, even ā€œbad pplā€, and I don’t regret it. There’s a rule on that and that should be respected. NFT descriptions belong to the forum - fully, not to any individual that might like to privatize it, act like they own all the information.

Yeah, I see your frustration, lots of things that were happening in the forum in 2022-2024 were sure not kosher. I didn’t like flipping and copycatting either.

But I firmly believe the reality was much more nuanced.

Yeh, some ppl joined some groups without any genuine interest and just to sell it later. But in my experience, they were usually a minority or just a few. And communicating the issue/desire beforehand could have done more good than one might think.

But not all that sold at some point were flippers. Some ppl could have had to sell it for financial reasons, or they tried the NFT but didn’t resonate with it, felt weird or something or the benefits didn’t seem to justify the money for them. Or while they might have been interested in the NFT, there could be other that they have been interested in much more. For example, if someone offered me like 13th Skull for it - I’d sure take it. So there may be many reasons why someone decides to sell at some point or even relatively early. People have their personal reasons and their personal life.

The thing is, after the NFT submission form got reduced, it often just wasn’t much to do. Before that? There was a lot of community participation - heck, I even felt often nostalgy for the Blueprint of Learning group, gosh those were times. But after that - not much to do, project leaders often just filled the spots, and there was basically nothing to do. In my tens of projects, I most of the time did everything and got used to that - while many others did the same.

Your project contains 78 different things and that may be already borderline or even further. If I at the end of 2023 submitted a project with half of what u have, it’d have been rejected unless I added extra sections for an extra price.

If u found that many cases, you could have disputed it.

But again, it’s important to understand that you don’t own the information, you don’t have any monopoly on the information, you didn’t discover anything, those were already there and google-able by anyone (and the same goes for almost everything around there) - and I think, some genes of those u listed were already used before you anyways.

I’m not here to defend any blatant copying, but those things could be used again as long as Captain was ok with it, and as long as it didn’t resemble any other project too much. After all, it’s always a unique alchemy and the information is open to everyone and inspirations are also good.

Nope, Captain said NFTs was a good grind.

Anyways, I appreciate you sharing your reasons, but I don’t think it justifies hiding the description from others - later often owners might not know what they are using.

I think he doesn’t mean to hide them now, but the reason he hid them at the time.

Yeh, well, the new rule better be mentioned even just in case.

But even without it, I don’t think it justifies that. There were better ways to go about them without using the principle of collective guilt.

In the past, someone had copycatted off what I wrote - even verbatim, but I chose a different way.
