The shifts in behavior and mindset I’ve seen have made me almost wonder if I accidentally shifted dimensions somewhere along the way.
Maybe I was less perceptive back then too but I’m not sure if that accounts for everything.

Back in the good old days, there would be news stories showing up on a regular basis warning people about too much time spent indoors, too much time in front of the TV, too much time on the computer, too much social media, etc.
What used to be a perpetual litany of warnings up until the late 2000’s (the first decade) had basically disappeared. And, from then onwards, dysfunctional living arrangements became normal because enough people were living in them lol.
Back in the day, there was a standard in society because there were fairly strict demarcations of what was internal and what was external; what was public and what was private. Since people are able to use technology (now) in a phase of life that would usually be internal and private, this has basically dissolved the lines for conduct and etiquette.
Things that might have received reprimand in ordinary public are given a pass on the internet. Originally due an anonymity, but later because a standard of behavior had changed.
And the backslide continues…
I think a lot of benefit would be had if normal order was restored. A sort of strengthening of the layers, of building up to a good presentation by getting each layer squared away before presenting one’s self to the public.
But I wouldn’t know anything about that… I live like a caveman anyways lol

Want to know something really weird? Ok sure I’ll go ahead then. When I was a kid I wrote a poem about some guy having one eye lit up and one dark like in the picture of this nft. My grandfather read the poem and told me it was shit and how stupid I was. Pretty neat right? Here it is as an nft.
