Yeah, I can’t get into the sport again either. That train has passed.
Lifting though, is a fine past-time for me now, I get stronger, get to sleep better, and I get to forget to stretch.
Ah man looking back
That’s one thing I would do differently
I would’ve stretched a wholeeee lot more (at specific times)
Ive experienced it’s benefits first hand
It’s one of the keys to success
Also helps make the myofascia expand, in a permenant way even
Allowing for greater pumps and muscle growth
Cuz the myofascia acts like a balloon within limits of expansion
You heighten that expansion
You get more pump ability
More pump = hold more nutrients
I used to do pump stretch’s for my chest work outs lol (don’t over do long stretches in-between sets, lurkers and beyond)
During a certain “era” of my life
Wanted to get it “better” so bad
Yeah lol. My chest is way too tight. Depression!

Underrated album for athletes
Now that I see it with more awareness on my body
I see its implications tremendously lol
It’s gains for every one
Not just athletes
It takes a while to get to optimum or closer to such an ideal depending on the person
Not an over night thing
(Could be an overnight huge leap of spiritual, health and mental progress though depending on how long it’s been since last detangled deknotted and destressed)
But still a major thing
Something to root for
Would allow for such great energy flow
Things heal themselves
When you awaken those channels optimally

Back when I used to hit the gym I would do a few rounds of dead hangs and some pull ups which warmed me up well, that is if I wasn’t going to do any actual stretching prior to lifting.
Doing pull ups before chest just hit different for some reason.
Chest and back hit chest different that’s for sure
Id like to think mixing it up is good
I always did the push pull legs split
Sometimes I’d do arms by itself (arms and shoulders)
Sometimessss would mix in chest with back
And just as rare sometimes I’d do an entire chest day and back day back to back in one session lol (without the entire arms part)
Those always where devastatingly great lol took such a long time some times
Good feelings lol
Accomplished exhaustion
The after glow
The blaze in the going
Even the before, the walk to the first station where id warm up
That whole thing was epic to me

I did push/pull/legs as well. Honestly, I never liked training chest that much. For me it was really damn hard to even feel the chest muscles working, then again genetically my chest insertion is nothing to be jealous of to say the least lol
Maybe youre using more back and/or shoulders in chest
Even biceps
Pointing your thumbs up (I know, it is uncomfortable and bruises you but helps) during dumbbell presses is good to take away your forearms and much of your arms in a chest press
And the good ol pinch of the scapular blades with decompressed shoulders (back and down) is the way to go
Do you Drive up from legs?
Slow it down and just pay attention to what you feel
Hang on to the time under tension where you feel
With lighter weights
Train your mind to feel
And build mind muscle connection
Don’t matter if it’s light
Just gotta do a lot of it
For sure, I am a pretty tall guy so maybe that plays a role as well. Yeah I realized the slower repetitions with a lighter weight allowed me to feel the muscle more when it came to chest, but with triceps I just liked to do fast reps and they still grew like crazy
