Asura (アスラ, Asura) is the main protagonist and titular character of the action beat 'em up game Asura’s Wrath. He is a Demigod and the husband of Durga, father of Mithra, and brother-in-law of Yasha. His Mantra Affinity is Wrath. He was formerly one of the Eight Guardian Generals and former Guardian General of Wrath, who served the Army of Shinkoku and the Emperor to fight against the Gohma. He was framed and betrayed by his seven comrades, who kidnapped his daughter, murdered his wife, and killed and banished him to Earth. But even in death, he was filled with an indelible rage that led him back to the world of the living, to get his revenge and save his daughter.

These heaven and earth energies/qi supplement the users as an additional source of energy when in situations of physical exertion (such as exercise, combat, fasting etc.) (SUPERHUMAN ENDURANCE) but also circulate through the meridians and every inch of the user’s body comprehensively when at states of rest or intended cultivation to nourish, strengthen, purify of all impurities, and refine the user’s skin, flesh, blood, bones, organs, and bone marrow as well before storing the remaining energy/qi in the core, which grows denser and more powerful over repeated nurturing of the energies/qi (cultivation). THE VAJRA ASURA
Asura’s most commonly seen form, it is a form where Asura’s arms are coated in a golden metallic armor. Through the Mantra activation within his body, he is able to metalize his arms through the power of his Mantra of Wrath and increase their strength, durability and making them more suitable for combat. Asura’s mastery of this form is most prominent in the fact that Asura is rarely seen outside of this form.
In Buddhism, The Vajra (Sanskrit: वज्र, romanized: Vajrā, lit. ‘Thunderbolt’) is a legendary and ritual weapon, symbolising the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force). The vajra is regarded as the symbol of highest spiritual power which is irresistible and invincible. It is therefore compared to the diamond, which is capable of cutting asunder any other substance; but which itself cannot be cut by anything. Likewise the properties of preciousness—nay, of supreme value—of changelessness, purity and clarity, were further reasons why in Buddhism the vajra was equated with the diamond. This is expressed in such terms as “Diamond Throne” (vajrasana), for the place on which the Buddha attained enlightenment, “Diamond Saw” (vajracchedika) for one of the most profound philosophical scriptures of the Mahayana, which ends with the words: "This sacred exposition shall be known as Vajracchedika-prajnaparamita-sutra—because it is hard and sharp like a diamond, cutting off all arbitrary conceptions and leading to the other shore of “Enlightenment.”

MANTRA REACTOR
(Game lore) Mantra is the cosmic energy produced by emotions and prayers, made either from the souls of mortals or from prayers. Mantra, in its full form, is composed of eight “pure” Mantras, those being Wrath, Pride, Greed, Lust, Vanity, Violence, Melancholy, and Sloth. These are known as the “Eight Mantras that Govern the World”. In its natural form, it resembles vibrations similar to those emitted by sound waves and possesses very little power on its own. However, through its manipulation - be it either by the Priestess or by resonating it within the Mantra Reactor - Mantra can become an abundant source of power. When amplified like that, Mantra appears as a green mist or aura capable of powering machinery, healing wounds, and also capable of strengthening those indulged in it to god-like heights. Bearing characteristics similar to electricity, it can be transmitted and stored with conductors.

It is a sacred utterance, sound, word or chant used to clear the mind and aid concentration during meditation and prayers, as well as being used in spiritual practices to materialize deities.
