Yeah, I’m always thankful for idea resources. Partly it’s manners (and sincere), but it’s also a memory trick that helps anchor ideas and their sources and allows me to remember why I’m thinking what I’m thinking. I’m somewhat influenced by Ouspensky and Castaneda (I know he was a deeply flawed person, but his writings were helpful to me) in placing this importance on memory initially, but now it’s just a useful approach regardless if the moon is trying to eat me or not.

There are many hints in the Bible and popular culture that “The Light” is very dangerous to engage with directly without sufficient preparation: 1) Indiana Jones is probably the most famous example; 2) the requirement that the Men in Black (sunglasses) don their sunglasses is a nod to the mind obliterating power of the Light; and, 3) the Friendly Ghost of Christmas Present who is initially too bright for Scrooge. But reexamine your Hollywood memories and hands blocking light is a tried and true trope that marks the characters status in the order of things.

No they don’t have souls.
We’d probably programme AI to imitate a human or whatever life form you want but it’s just an illusion because there’s nothing there or sentient.
… unless you give it consciousness but I don’t know how you would do that.

Imagine if AI with consciouseness alchemized in it creates a simulation with human-like beings and then alchemizes consciouseness in them then those simulated human beings evolve to create something like AI and alchemize consciouseness in it and then…
