To me, freedom is a state where nothing from outside can influence my state of being.
Or
I’m in such a harmony with universe, that there’s no difference between my choice and the flow of universe.
i.e., being in unity with the universe to that extent, where I’m freely flowing with the Universe.

Imagination is a kind of unbounded freedom (I know those two words kind of mean the same thing but thats how my brain put it)
