Could be something practical, emotional, relationship-related, money, purpose, habits, spiritual or whatever really.
I feel like everyone has at least one part of life they’re currently trying to untangle. What’s yours?

Just graduated out of nursing school, gonna start nights soon, very excited but scared , started meditating again to help with that parasympathetic stimulation and support, I don’t wanna lose my youth and my looks and I can already seeing it from the stress
Trying to fix dating, it has gotten better over the years but still lots of room of improvement, some days really suck the loneliness and make me feel empty
Still going through body dysmorphia but not as bad as it used to be , I can go on for weeks without it and than some days when my face looks a little bit different or bloated instant freaking out, but has gotten way better over the years
Gym 4x a week with cardio, skin care really taking care of my self, socializing with others, I’m trying my best. Is my life perfect no? Am I trying my best, pretty close
Congrats with graduating from nursing school. Yeah, your life is about to shift big time when working nights. I think you starting to meditate again is going to really come in handy in the next several months. Really keep to that if ya can.
Dating likely going to be linked to nursing this year lol.
In what ways has your body dysmorphia gotten better over the years? Just curious.
We’re all trying bruv. All we can do . So as long as we do, we at least know we’re moving forward and survive it one day at a time, we’re doing the right thing.
In terms of body dysmorphia it was honestly less about fields and more about the realization that nobody gives a f, everyone is too busy worried about themselves.
Still from childhood trauma I still get that subconscious thoughts at times but it’s gotten way way better, I just started accepting it as is
Thank you btw Sammy
Best realization to have at any point in your life. It frees up so much space in your mind. People really don’t give a f and leaning into that, allows you to give an f less. Of course, it doesn’t automatically erase the past, considering you still have some dysmorphia.
But definitely a step in the right direciton and I think your awareness will continue taking you on a more positive trajectory.
I’m mostly trying to find a balance between my activism for the betterment of all and my professional goals right now. They’re at odds, due to the nature of my activism. But I did procure the Justice NFT to help with alleviating some of the fallout.
What do you mean by that my friend? What kind of activism are you doing these days?
Right now? Zilch. What I was doing was leftist activism (I’m a bit of an anarcho-socialist, progressive, anti-fascist, feminist), unpopular nowadays for many reasons. ![]()
The Justice NFT has something against Cancel Culture, I refuse to be cancelled. ![]()
I did lose a singing gig due to my (now past) membership in a radical organization (and I did always have my doubts about the honesty of their intentions, and I came to the conclusion that they were trying to use my profession - opera singing - as a trampoline to promote themselves, without regard for consequences I might face, so I’m out
).
For now, I’ll stick to my guns, but will be very wary of activist groups.
EDIT
Oh yeah, I also have a thing for reacting to workplace mobbing and especially sexual harassment. I have no qualms against “punching up”, and I’m beginning to notice I’m receiveing respect and support from people who agree with me, especially when I myself face serious mobbing. It’s why I’m, by now, an expert on various shields etc. ![]()
I see. What does activism look like these days? I was thinking about it recently as I was getting clips from the 1960s and all the sit ins and protests during that time. Was thinking like…
What would effective activism even look like in the 21st century… The recent protests in the US did jackshit. Even the no kings protests which were the largest protests in US history… amounted to nothhing and that’s mostly cause, it was only done in a weekend. For it to have been effective… it had to keep going daily.
I think occupy wall street was semi effective in getting everyone, left and right, on the same page about it. It felt like 99% were actually beginning to see the light and agree that 1% are fucking it up for everyone else. But the movement was disjointed and wasn’t really stopping the system.
Like it really looks like it would take the masses working together to … organize being able to provide electricity, food, shelter while everyone decides to not work. Collectively boycotting certain corporations. Taking over the internet like everyon collectively posting the same video everywhere like ‘____ is a pedo’ or idk. But you get the point… It feels like collective efforts that make an impact on the flow of the system seem to maybe be what’s missing, But idk really.
That’s why I’m asking lol.
Yeah, that’s the trouble with any serious activism - the powers that be usually try to own the activism itself, rendering it ineffective.
I was in the thick of it within the largest feminist protests 'round here, biggest mass protests since the Solidarity movement (I’m in Poland), and after running from cops and avoiding arrests and beat-downs it all amounted to… nothing, because the leadership of the strike sold the idea out to one of the biggest political parties which gave them a whole lot of empty promises and delivered nothing. And now the entire Women’s Strike movement has been pretty much turned into mush.
In my experience, effective activism is extremely risky and requires nerves of steel (and, I’d also recommend, some proper energetic shielding
). When I take mobbers/harassers to task, I kinda do the Black Panther thing - I bring the penal code, the civic code and the labour code with me, in hardcopies, and start quoting the laws that are being broken - and I can back it up, should push come to shove, as I know many extremely good lawyers. I’m also unafraid to make it known that I will act (physically
) if things turn out of hand. It’s risky, and it has cost me a lot, but it was worthwile as some changes are actually taking effect thanks to it (it’s why I procured the Justice NFT. I need the court of public opinion on my side
).
Consult your local anarchist cooperatives, for these people activism is a lifestyle, and they may have proper experience in how to effectively organize.
There’s certainly all kinds of groups here that I could join but I would prefer to focus my efforts in the digital world. That’s where most people are living these days anyways. I think there are certainly ways of making collective impact on the internet that haven’t quite been explored yet. Like remember, when redditors all collectively affected gamestop stock? Well, there’s been quite a number of moments where the collective affected different stocks or forced companies to remove people or do certain things.
But that takes unity and unfortunately, nowadays… we are more divided than ever. We are so divided that not even the epstein files debacle could unite us. That was the biggest blow to me honestly. I spent 2-3 months investigating and doing all kinds of things to try to bring people together to act on it and… the apathy and division between people and their identities from their political parties just brought all that to a halt. So dissapointing…
So as long as people keep identifying with left or right and not realizing its 1% vs 99% … we’re going to continue running around in circles. This problem isn’t only in the US, it’s everywhere really.
In Europe, for example, migration can create real challenges…especially when housing, public services and integration systems are already under strain but I think the amount of political attention it receives can obscure much deeper economic problems.
Housing costs, wealth inequality, stagnant living standards and policy failures affect huge portions of society, yet migrants often become an easier target for people’s frustration. Politicians and media figures can then amplify that frustration, the right and left become consumed with fighting each other over immigration, and the larger questions of wealth and power barely get addressed. And then boom… yet again, back to square one.
