Which fields to listen to protect from negative work issues?

Hello Everyone!

I’m looking for some advice on which fields to listen to protect and be successful at work from political drama/issues. I have a few people at work who don’t like the improvements/ changes that I’ve been asked to make and they are working towards sabotaging me. They will be nice to my face but behind the scenes, there is some seriously shady behavior and backchanneling taking place. I’ve only been at my new job for 3 months and it’s very distressing. This is not the first time this has happened at work and I want to stop this negative pattern.

Update: I tried all the advice listed above and listen to it 2x / day. It looks like it didn’t work. I was just let go from my job today. No warning what so ever. This is so upsetting. :worried:

Thanks @anon17734191 ! This is a scary time to be without a job. I need to trust that a better role is coming my way quickly. I had the best path tag and lost it over a month ago. I’ve been listening to the audio daily. This just sucks. I don’t get why these things keep happening.

I use the Positivity audio at a low volume in all my meetings (which are webex or zoom calls). I had to lay off a bunch of folks in my team. And there is a lot of concern on what is coming next. So, given the heightened state of uncertainty and anxiety, this audio has turned out to be a remarkable asset! I have noticed that people are more relaxed, less anxious and conversations end reasonably well without shouting matches when this audio is being played (the one I am talking is Positive Vibes with the water sound). I also started listening to the Alchemy of Love more lately, it reduces the heartache that comes along with such action I am forced to take (laying people off) but on which I have no control.

Thank you, @anon6431808! I remember doing something like that in the beginning before getting the job but then stopped after I got it. I need to continue doing that daily.

I didn’t shout or anything. I did ask what the reasons were and why wasn’t I made aware of them earlier on so I could improve. They just gave me a lame reason that it’s an at-will state so the decision has been made.

I’m still in shock right now. Need to loop positivity audio and emotional release for now. :cry:
