Italian lemon cookies (they’re “S” cookies if you have an Italian bakery around, it’s pretty much the same)

I cooked something for the first time in eons!
Tofuuu
It’s like the third time I’m trying it
And apparently the problem was in the texture!
Turns out I hate hard and chewy tofu, but this one was soft and silken, just perfect
I now can give up meat for good since I never really loved it lol

How did you cook the tofu itself?
Or did you just marinate it?

I blobbed it onto the plate and heated up in a microwave
So it was mainly the garnish I cooked
Caramelized onions, garlic, ginger, sugar, soy sauce, chili flakes, sesame oil. Would have been perfect with green onions in addition, but didn’t have it.

Ok it is cold and rainy so it’s a great day for some soup and :sparkles:apple crisp :sparkles:

Here is how I do the apple crisp in case you guys are in the mood to make it!

Peel six apples (I used Macintosh but any somewhat tart apple will work)

Butter an 8x8 glass pan

Chop the apples, throw them in a bowl and add 2tbsp sugar

Add 3/4 tsp cinnamon and 1 and a half tsp lemon juice

Stir and put in pan

Chop up cold butter (1stick/ 1/2 cup or 4 oz) and put it back in the fridge. Preheat oven to 350 f or 180c.

Measure out one cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup old fashioned oats and 3/4 cup flour, a tsp cinnamon and a dash of salt and out it in a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter (or two forks- or your hands)

Once everything is well combined and the butter is in small pieces put it all in the pan , smooth it out over the apples and add raisins on top. Bake for 40-50 minutes

:green_heart: and I almost forgot - play the food charger too

It’s somebodys birthday so grandmas sauce and meatballs and maple brown butter chocolate chip cookies were requested

A little tip is to chop some of the chocolate chips so
you make chocolate dust and it imparts the chocolate flavor more

Is that a spoonful of sour cream in the middle?
Would always love adding that before I had it.
