My 2 cents is
Do it as long as you feel comfortable and then just a little more. That’s my approach at least :D
It’s good to push yourself a bit but not too much, especially int be beginning, when you’re still getting familiar which the exercise.
It can be up to 144 breaths, holding in the air as long as you can, and meditate after as well (feeling the energy flow). I guess I usually do 40-120 breaths, and meditation after depends on how much time I have. I noticed that slowing down the breath enables me to concentrate on “feeling” the energy better, so that’s what I’m doing now.
@_OM ill be combining this with daily kundalini practice, so, yar… I’m a little afraid haha I’m so sensitive to these types of energies
Are you an energy healer
@_OM and @MonkeyOwl
So, it’s been 12 days now. The powerful static electricity vibrations that I used to feel in my feet have completely disappeared now. I can’t feel a single thing.
I’m doing my best to visualise energy flowing through my hands into my solar plexus and spreading everywhere through my body. I’m able to do about 70 breaths before I get fatigued. I hold my breath and say the affirmation with the clearest intent. The whole thing lasts about 2-3 min.
Now my question is this:
Now that I can’t feel the vibrations, how many breaths should I take? Should I do it until fatigue and inhale? Or should I push past the fatigue and do till 144?
Are you doing powerful breathes or shallow?? Other than that you’re doing it correctly.
There’s no set number how many you need to do. Go until you feel you can’t go more without forcing it, but don’t go past that. I don’t count my breathes, I just keep doing it until either I get tired or feel discomfort.
You can try to push it I think.
Have you tried to play around with speed and intensity? For me a middle speed intense breathing seems to work best where the inhale part is a tiny bit faster. I let my intuition guide me though.
I still feel this unpleasant feeling in me head sometimes, but it only comes at around 100 intense breaths.
I don’t have a tingling feeling in my legs, for me it’s rather some sensation in the palms and a high-pitched sound (like tinnitus). And afterwards I sense a nice flow of energy for some time.
What I found is I think there are less “blockages” in my “energy conductors” (lol… sorry second langue, I’m not sure meridian is the right word bit maybe). E.g. I can direct energy and “breath” for example up and down my arms much more easily. It could be that I am more aware / sensitive to it, or that I encounter less resistance.
What @SC448 said.
This is a FEELING exercise… not a THINKING exercise.
Hence “I FEEL the Universal Life Energy…” not “I THINK the Universal…”
It’s NOT about the number of breaths, it’s about breathing as intensely as possible until you FEEL the energy build up in Solar Plexus
I’m going to strongly suggest re-reading this thread from the beginning as I’ve addressed this question several times.
(A thinking exercise so your questions are answered and you can focus on FEELING while do it… not THINKING)
Right. I ‘think’ I have all the answers I need now (pun intended lol). Just gonna play around with intensity and speed and mix them up and I’m confident I’ll start feeling stuff again.
Btw - I do “feel” it working on you already…even if you aren’t aware of it yourself
Woohoo, love is in the air
After doing the exercise today, i got this pull/push feeling in my back again, the same as I wrote about in the mass meditation thread.
The exact point is where my shoulder blades end, but in the middle of the back “on” my spine.
OM, do you maybe have an idea what this is? I dont recall reading about this anywhere.
That’s the cranial-sacral fluids being activated…aka kundalini rising
This increase my muscle recovery and healing after workouts by a lot!! It’s like I’m not even sore the day after anymore lol
When I do this meditation I feel this pressure building up in my chest? Is this supposed to happen?
Yes. Absolutely!
Awesome, I just did the meditation and I felt this pressuring building up in my chest. I couldn’t hold it any longer and I had to breath again!
When you feel the “pressure”, that’s when you take one long last Deep breath and start saying the affirmation silently and letting the energies flow thru you.
Got it?
I felt this pressure when I’m already holding my breath. I feel it building up and then I have to breath again because I can’t hold it any longer.
